very clean salt to use for a water softner

My water softener loves it !

These are supposed to be white. Multiple times I have opened the bag to find them brown with filth. They are leaving a film of scum all over the brine tank and water surface. After hauling 10 bags back from Sams and carrying them through the house to my basement brine tank, I cannot be bothered to lug them all the way back out of the house and to Sams for $7. This time the bag when opened hit me in the face with stench. Not only brown but a nasty stink. Never again. Avoid these.

I have used this salt for over 30 years. The current Morton salt is not the same as it use to be. It is now dirty and it is a pain to clean the softener. Will you be getting a better salt or do I need to go elsewhere? I have been a Sam's customer since 11-1991.

Confused about this purchase

This salt use to be clean, but for over a year it appears dirty and leaves a black film in holding tank. I only hope it doesn’t damage softener

This is a very good product. I wish Sam's would carry the 25lb bag. 44 lbs is a little for those of us Mature citizens.

It’s great because I no longer have to try to lift the heavy bags of salt and put in my car. It’s all done by the staff! Awesome service!

Had to settle for this product. Normally we use Morton iron-out salt but have not been able to find at your clubs for months! Can you tell me why?
