Amazing

Absolutely love our new Arlo Outdoor Camera! I would definitely recommend getting a different mount tho, as this one has no flexibility. It’s very durable however, long lasting and quickly detects motion. With the smart motion detection, you’re able to get notifications as to what caused it (Animals, cars, people etc) the video quality is immaculate and it’s super weather resistant! Highly recommended

Decent Subscription-Based Product

Liked video quality and the ease of setup. Disliked that I had to upgrade my phone App, which made me lose access to all existing Arlo cameras we were already using with our own hub. Apparently, the only option to utilize these is with the paid subscription regardless of if you have an on-prem hub from existing Arlo devices. I can still pull up 'live' videos, so we're using these as in-home monitors and are reassessing if we will keep the original Arlo cameras now that the App does not allow me to monitor those (I get the motion notifications but cannot view). Likely switching to Ubiquity devices instead of these because of this inconvenience. Husband monitors original devices and I monitor these devices since neither of us can view the other's devices. If these are a completely new system to you – and you like subscription-based services, these will be an exception product for you! Highly recommend, but for our situation, these are practically useless.

If this happens to you , Arlo will not help

Per the Arlo support team, if you plug the camera into the provided solar panel it could (and did) damage the camera.

Could be so much better

OK we bought the Essential camera kit . During the Trial ( 30 Days ) I had only one issue with the One camera Draining in a matter of hr.'s ? , recharged in house , reset unit all good ( You would think ) it lasted 3 days then died even after I set the unit on low power mode , move the sensitivity to 30 % . Brought it in the house reset the unit , uninstalled reinstalled ,recharged own tech support . Unit started to work better , I installed the two Solar panes , Bought Two more / set all the unit to a Lower lower mode , all worked well ( But !! ) then Camera # 2 same issues that was (40 ) days in to the purchase , did all the above and is working steady . ( 60 days in ) Random disconnects and reconnects . As of this review i have two unit going through the same issues . Observations / #1 Power drain , this I believe is from excessive motion causing the camera to lock in to a camera always on mode that is draining the cameras very quickly . #2 Cameras will not go into power conservation mode . This is clearly a Firmware issue , and can easily be resolved , Thank you .
