Totally worth the money
We bought this for our kids a few years ago and they still love it more than ever! The quality is great and very durable. It is a few years old and still looks new. It is definitely better than buying a wooden play set. We are thrilled with our lifetime play set. We have purchase many other products from lifetime as well and are always pleased with there quality and the enjoyment that they provide for our family. I highly recommend this product.
My kids and me love this!!!
We bought this Play set this past spring. I was looking for a playset that would not give my kids slivers and would have as little maintenance as possible. And yet is great quality. This is perfect! We love it! It doesn't get hot in the sun and burn my kids. And the warranty is awesome too.
Well Built Playground!
My husband and I purchased this set for our too grandboys . We had it delivered to their home . Lots of communication from shipping company so we knew when it would be delivered . ( someone had to be there to receive it). It is quality built and will be enjoyed for many years to come. We would definitely buy again. Be patient read and reread instructions. Twice I thought they gave us wrong hardware but I was wrong. And had used some incorrectly. But it was easy to fix. Every nut and screw were included , nothing missing. It's not hard but best done without little ones in the mix . Lol. Boys are 2 and 4, somethings like monkey bars are just a wee bit beyond them. But it's a challenge and they love it.
Grandkids are in heaven!
We bought this set for our grandkids. Nana and Papa put it together (need epsom salts, pain reliever and icy hot)…FYI…get some younger folks to help. Here are a few tips we found that might make your life easier…#1 Make sure you get the tower support together correctly….read the instructions …watch the video and then do it again. If you have that tower support (looks like a large stop sign) put together correctly….everything should go together well (somehow we got ours wrong and we did have dimples facing down as per instruction..but we figured it out) Just make sure you look it all over good, even go so far as to have another set of eyes look it over and insure that it is all correct before proceeding. #2 make sure you orient yourself with the pics in the manual and how you currently have the swing set up….makes a huge difference. ours went up opposite manual. #3 Make sure you have 3-4 people to help with the tower roof, particularly if you try to put this up with any kind of wind. #4 Can't stress this enough….verify the hardware needed / locate it / verify again. Most of the instructions were pretty good…all hardware were clearly marked….the videos were very helpful. After all was said and done….seeing the smiles on the kids faces made it all worthwhile….would I buy again? YEP in a heartbeat. Ask us later if we would put it up again ourselves :) We are still recovering
Outstanding! With a few recommendations -
Overall great experience thus far; very well made, came a little scratched up on some of the large plastic parts (shipping damage) but fully functional. Seems very solid, kids love it, and I'm hopeful it will last many years in the hot/humid NC climate! Few thoughts / recommendations: - Would be handy if the instructions included links or recommendations for installation on a non-level yard. Mine had about a 13" drop at an angle over the distance from tower to end of monkey bars. - please include measurements of actual structure in the instructions - it includes recommended boundary, but not the structure. Would be useful for folks like me who need to lay out the exact location of the tower & monkey bar poles in order to dig them in for a not-level surface. - Instructions were otherwise excellent with one exception: would be helpful to explicitly identify the swing bar attachment pole (the one with the warning label) on the instruction graphics. This gives a good visual anchor point when attaching the tower's cross-bracing and various rock wall/etc. panels. I found myself having to remove and re-install some components in other locations because it wasn't initially clear what side of the tower they went on. Other notes: - One reasonably fit/strong person can assemble 95% of this by their lonesome... I needed my wife's help getting the swing bar into place and holding components for the tower roof, but that's about it. - I put a ~8in deep sandpit in the middle of the tower, since I had to dig it in anyways. Seems to work great!
Poor ladder design !
We purchase two months ago - fun for 1 of 2 of our grand kids. Younger child fell thru top rung of the curved ladder onto the ground - he will not climb up yet. Poor design on the ladder. No help from the company representative to modify or offer suggestions for ladder improvement.
We have had this problem before and we have done what we can to remedy the issue. Our playsets are approved by ASTM, an independent organization that helps to create safety specifications for Residential Playground Equipment. They have dictated the spacing measurements that are allowed on playset features, such as the arched climber. We know that safety is a necessity with our children, and so we updated the top rung of the ladder to approximately 9.5”, as small as we could go. I apologize we can’t do any more for you, however those are the guidelines we are required to follow.
Wonderful with appropriate installation
Playset came quickly, installation scheduled quickly. We had issues with the initial installation tech but LifeTime was GREAT at helping us rectify the issues and had everything fixed up for us very quickly. They were professional, extremely responsive and helpful. This set has already provided a TON of fun for kids ages 3-11.
Horrible Ladder
The kids love the set, but the ladder is dangerous. The arch is too high and it's hard for them to get their footing. I would never let a child climb up this ladder without adult supervision. We took it off and built our own that is Safe for children. Would not recommend buying this.
Amazing Play Set
We have had this play set for a year now. Our kids (and the neighborhood kids) all love playing on it. We compared this to the other play set available and picked this because there was no huge gap between the climbing wall and the play set floor for children to fall down. we also like the look of the play set and that it is different then all the others out there. Other reviews have complained about the top step of the ladder, Our 2 year old twins are small and have both never had a problem with climbing up. We have no complaints about this at all. Hands down the best purchase we have made for the kids. We had no problems with the installation. My husband and I put it together in a Saturday (I am not handy at all). We did put some things together ahead of time so it would go faster (the roof, the ladder, the rock walls...). As long as you read the instructions and make sure you have the right parts it goes smoothly. Our kids love it!
LIFETIME needs a paint consultant and a testing lab. I can help.
The set was delivered to my home in Tampa, FL area on April 2, 2021. The photos above were taken on April 12th, 2021. Functionally, it is a great set. My daughter loves it and it pains me to know that it will not last. Rust is starting to present itself following ten (10) Days of exposure to the elements. The set was constructed approximately 8 miles from Tampa Bay so the set did not see any high salinity. The parts affected are DXI (x2) and DZV (x2). These pieces bolt through the tower floor and support the railing on the tower. When the parts were installed, the tabs on the bottom bent slightly. They are made of thing-gauge steel which can be difficult to coat due to the sharp edges. The coating used has very little flexibility casing it to crack as can be seen in the photos. There are also areas where the welds have pinholes which expose the substrate underneath. Many of the parts are made with weep holes. Possibly for draining during the coating process or to allow for draining during install. The concern is that these areas are uncounted and the set may rust from the inside out. Consumers: please be advised of the above issues. Unless this product is to be used indoors or in low-moisture environments you may have issues regarding longevity. Lifetime: Some of the problems can be engineered out. Other problems could be resolved with your choice of coatings manufacturer. I would be happy to provide you with a formal proposal to perform any performance testing from an accredited third party testing lab to assist with improving your products and helping them live up to the brand name "LIFETIME." In the meantime, please send re-designed parts for replacement: So far the list is as follows: DXF x1, DXO x2, and DXI x2. Perhaps have the fab shop weld a slightly more thick base
