From the touch, these bags feel thinner and seem like they would tear more easily. However, I haven't had any problems with them. My teenage boys pack them to capacity and carry them by the drawstrings all the way through the house to the trash bin, and we've never had any rips or leaks. I've been buying these bags for years and they've always held up well.

The Member Mark trash bags material seems to be getting thinner and shorter. If I am correct, hopefully that is just a trial run and can possibly be rectify in the making of them.

I prefer the previous version without the drawstring. The version with the 4 flaps that were used to tie, allowed for a tight package. The drwstring will rip out if tired to tight. ASLO the numbers of bags in the box has been reduced by 30 count for similar pricing.
