Disappointed with The Bose Soundbar

I have bought and used Bose products for years, i never even think about getting Bose. It is like Apple products, usually more expensive but the quality is never in doubt. I bought this sound bar and it was terrible, the sound quality was about the same of the Samsung TV. I was very surprised and disappointed needless to say I returned it

This provides optimal sound quality for e.g. news and talk shows, so turn this setting on and see if that makes a difference. OK, but not great

Its got good sound quality, and the Dialogue mode seems to work OK. My bigest problem is you have to use a separate remote control, and there are no volume numbers so you dont know what the volume is set at. Also there is no HDMI Plug, only the digital plug

The remote control (included) is designed to allow you to adjust volume, audio source, bass and more with a few easy presses. Although it isn't possible to know the exact volume level of the soundbar, the straightforward remote allows you to adjust the volume level easily if you find it's too low or high. Works great for the price. Sound clarity with actors/new cashers talking. Easy hookup - plug and play. This is just a sound bar - if you want the gut vibrations and load sounds during drama scenes - then a more expensive speakers system you will want.

compact and functional

I realized I needed to add a sound bar to our 75" basement TV. The TV speakers didn't sound bad but in a large room it required "more cow bell". I needed to find a sound bar that I could mount below our TV and above an electric fireplace so this compact SB fit the bill. I like the "dialog mode" setting that really allows you to hear voices/speech very clearly. This SB connected automatically to my Samsung TV using the optical connection cord provided. The wall mount was also easy to install.

Not good at all, there was hdmi connection and it did not connect with TV remote. You need their remote. Was a disappointment from the quality they are known for.

Sorry to hear you couldn't control your Solo Soundbar 2 with your TV remote! If your TV remote sends IR (infrared) commands, you can use it to control the soundbar. You won't need to change any settings in the soundbar; simply refer to the programming instructions for your remote, testing each code provided for Bose. I hope this is useful!
