HDMI ARC Auto-on Does NOT Work

Great except that the HDMI ARC connection does NOT turn the speaker on automatically with the TV. I have to use the Bose remote to turn on the speaker. Once turned on, the TV volume control works to change the speaker's volume. But in spite of all the trouble shooting, chatting with a Bose technical support person, and exchanging the speaker once, it will not power up in conjunction with turning on the TV.

Please note that the Solo Soundbar II does not have HDMI ARC connections, on the back of the soundbar, you will see options for aux In, optical or coaxial inputs.
