I have this on two other TV's and used this purchase to put on my elderly parents TV while they waited for cable to be hooked up. There was a steep learning curve for them but they were able to make it work for them.

This is the first streaming stick I have ever purchased. I have had Roku ready TV's in the past. I plugged it into the TV and followed the instructions and it works just as well as a Roku ready TV.

I bought the Roku 4K stick for when we go camping and it works great. All my apps from home were downloaded and they pull right up. Just make sure you have a good signal for wifi.

I live in a condo complex where it is impossible to use an antenna. Local news can only be picked up by using a local cable company that I don't like. Roku gives me news, football, music, etc without having to use cable. I m very happy with it.

Coming from the amazon firestick to this was a sizable improvement. Roku seems more responsive and has the better collection of apps and even the live tv added in.

After my TV I purchased 8 years ago discontinued streaming service provided with the TV purchase on 15 Sep 2025 with the majority of programs I used, I purchased the Roku system. It did everything I needed and more.
