Love the remote!

Overall I’m happy with the Streaming Stick 4K. The product works great and the remote is the best I’ve used. It feels solid. The buttons are firm and have a tactile click when pressed. The body of the remote has a little texture. So, no more accidental button presses and accidental drops. The only complaint I have is that if a program is paused for just a short time it turns off the tv. This needs to be a setting that can be changed by the user.

Mostly good

I've been using this for about two months and had no real major issues except for a couple of freeze ups. I am plugged in directly so that's not the problem. However now a new problem has occurred, I am getting kicked out of my Peacock App and getting sent back to the home screen when I pause a movie. This problem is intermittent but it is very frustrating, I have tried clearing the cache by resetting my Internet connection but it still happens intermittently. Other than that it's pretty good.

Constantly have to reset

This is my 2nd roku streaming stick and I am very disappointed. Every time I try to use it, it is frozen and i have to unplug it and plug it back in. Then hopefully i get one evening of streaming out of it before we have to repeat the process. I even did a factory reset and it did not fix the problem. There is no support on this item and when I googled, I found this is a big issue. I would avoid this Roku product at all costs.

Difficult

Bought to utilize older TV in bedroom. Have had difficulty in linking up YouTube TV subscription that I have for main TV in family room. Have not been able to link up. Seems like Roku wants you to use other apps. I don't want to pay for anything else. Don't even turn that TV on now. Should return for credit.

Fast + Easy

Bought to replace a old Roku stick which was actually working fine but the remote control was on its last leg. This new stick is much speedier and the remote control seems to be okay but (and this is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5) the buttons on the remote are super CLICKY and I really don't like that. I also am not crazy about how the Roku set-up wizard adds a bunch of channels I don't need so that I have to spend more time removing their bloat/promoted apps...so uncool. Other than that, this 4k stick is great and works pretty much as expected (minus those annoying clickety-clacky remote buttons)

EASY to USE

The product is similar in design and features to other remotes I have used and thus, very easy to use. The only issue I experience with it is that the volume controls are located on the right hand side of the device, with the Off switch located below and very close to the up and down volume buttons. As a result, I often turn the volume off completely when attempting to just adjust it.

Falls short on WiFi

The unit continually drops network connection with the router located 4 feet away. We are lucky to get through 1 hour of streaming. We cannot access the home screen with the remote so the only solution is to power cycle tge Roku. Moved another 4k 2021 roku in its place and it holds the Internet connection continuously.

Horrible product

I’ve had a Roku premier for any years and loved it. My husband gifted me a Roku streaming stick for Christmas this year. It’s horrible. It’s unresponsive most of the time. I usually end up using the remote on my phone more than the actual remote as it’s unresponsive. It’s extremely slow to load apps. If it turns itself off because its idol for too long (we leave the tv on for the dogs when we aren’t home), it doesn’t automatically connect to the wifi when it’s turned back on later. However, if we stop watching tv and turn it off, it will still be connected to the wifi when we turn it on later. It’s very annoying to have to set up the wifi connection each time. Also, the volume needs to be turned up much higher than if we weren’t using the Roku. I’ve tried different shows on different apps, and the volume is still very low using the Roku streaming stick.

Basically has the same issues as our Roku tv.

Our Roku tv has become so sluggish, suffers frequent rebooting on its own that we bought this hoping it would cure the issue. While the picture is much better, the other problems (though less severe) still remain. The volume of Netflix is ridiculously low. Netflix is sluggish, the shows are slow to populate, and after exiting there is a good chance the next app will crash when we try to open it. I’ve been a fan and user sine the company started. I don’t understand what the problem is with Roku and Netflix. I don’t have issues with other apps.

Enjoy but doesn't last

I've owned several units over the last 4-5 years. While they work, they are awesome but I've found they tend to die after 12-18 months. I tried to get around this be spending more and buying the Ultra unit only to have it flake out before 12 months were up. Now I just buy their cheapest unit and accept I'm going to have to buy another one in less that 2 years. I do like the service while it's working, hence not switching to another brand.
