cotija texture not consistent, sometimes it does not crumble, others similar to a string cheese. It's a guessing game, still a good cheese just not always cotija

Disappointed with this package. The first package tasted great and had a great texture, crumbled easily over beans. Went back for more a week later. The package of cheese did not have the same texture or taste. Didn’t crumble, was sticky . Was not over dated either.

This is not cotija, this taste like mozzarella cheese and the consistency is not the same as well. I have been purchasing this cheese/brand for years and recently I’ve been extremely disappointed.

I have been buying this cheese for several years. I know it is salty, but lately, it has become almost impossible to eat due to the amount of salt. The time before last, I thought it was just a fluke, but this latest time it is exactly the same. So, I believe they have gone overboard with the salt. I won't be buying it again, because it amounts to throwing away $20.
