Excellent picture

I bought this Vizio D-Series 40” TV when my previous 10-year old Vizio died. I have been very impressed with the picture quality and ease of use. I am a Roku customer so I do not use the streaming features on the TV directly but the process using a third party is seamless.

Love it,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wanting to put a television upstairs in my bonus room finally decided to do so picked out the Vizio and it was the perfect choice for the room. I have all my live streaming apps everything is available on the television.

Great value, nice features & app

I bought this TV two weeks ago and installed the Vizio app on my phone which works great. My only minor complaint is I can't seem to organize the order of how streaming apps show up on TV. I generally use just one and wish I could make it come up first so I don't have to scan across over a dozen others to select it every time. I can do that on the phone app which helps.

Vizio D-series 40” smart TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy to have bought this TV! We have a built-in cabinet, and was happy to go from 32 - 40” sz tv because of how it is designed! Very surprised at all the features…many apps to use, and able to download free channel apps. Was easy to set up and connect to all our devices!!

not happy at all

Ive had nothing but trouble with this TV. It's to the point that whenever I turn it on, I dont know if the TV will work or not. It is constantly losing connection to wifi. The remote does not work all the time. I end up having to unplug the tv, wait, and plug it in again hoping that will fix the problem. sometimes it does, sometimes it does not. Keep in mind, I have my TV on a high plant shelf in my bedroom. That means everytime I need to unplug it, i have to go out to my garage and lug in a ladder. Its a real pain. I have 4 other TV's in the house and not one of them gives me any problems.

Zero parental control

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a small smart tv for my son's bedroom. The tv comes LOADED with apps, which could be good for some people but there is no way to delete, hide, or lock apps that are inappropriate for kids. I had to spend hours figuring out a way to block certain apps and websites through my router.

Easily the worst TV I have ever owned. Only lasted 5 months. Smartcast failed to load a lot of the time. TV performed more poorly after each update. Audio was terrible. The final straw was when the tuner died and I could no longer receive cable channels. Can only use for streaming now. No more Vizio for me!

The Only Game In Town

I bought this tv to replace a 24” Vizio 1080 smart tv I bought 13 months ago because the screen developed horizontal lines on the lower portion of the screen. I'm taking a chance on the same problem not happening to this newer model. I hope it pays off.
