Purchased for a small business office to replace an older unit that I have had for 15 years and has slowed down. This unit is running just as stated. It is very quiet which I like. My only slight negative is the shredded paper bin is much smaller and we have to empty it much sooner than my older unit. Let's see how long this shredder lasts!

We have a smaller Fellowes Shredder in the office so when I was asked to find a larger version for I immediately began looking at the same brand. I have not been disappointed. The shredder is much quieter than the smaller one and can take on a heavy load with ease. It "chews" through papers, staples (as described) with ease. The wheels are a nice addition so that it can be moved from one recycle bin to another with ease. No complaints so far. Highly recommend.

This is my second Fellowes shredder. I purchased my first one almost 20 years ago. Yes, over 20 years ago!. . . and I gave it a good workout. Never failed me. It was time to finally replace it. I have used my new one now and it is fantastic. Believe all of the excellent reviews about this great shredder.

Pros Item as described will shred paper, Cds, Used Credit cards with no problems, chews up paper like a pro 10 12 14 pages pushing its limit but just chunks them down. Got rid of 20 years of receipts bills invoices just keep feeding the machine. This I would recommend this for any small home office or larger office environment. Cons the basket is large but it fills up fast and is a bit touchy fitting into the cabinet, I didn't seem to have much trouble but my wife had a hard time taking out the basket and getting it into the cabinet in the proper location to continue shredding. Although this is a shredder it would be nice for a bypass to the trash bin so you do not need 2 trash bins in the office one for mags and stuff that can't be shredded or is too big to be shredded, with out pulling out the bin and making a small mess on the floor with hanging chads

Very nice shredder very quite compared to my old cheap one and it is smart if you put your hand near the opening it will shut down which is good if you have little ones around. It also lets you know your shredder is full and it lets you know if your feeding to much paper in and unlike my old one you don't have to turn it on every time you want to use it you just feed it and having wheels makes it easy to move around it's a bit pricey but if it last it's worth it thanks fellowes and walmart.

I'm very happy with this shredder. It functions as advertised, good shred capacity, good quality. Like rollers on bottom - very convenient for stowing when not in use. Now feedback on you website. Please get rid of the "no duplicate" edit on your reviewer name - so frustrating finding a non-duplicate when really it shouldn't matter!

After spending $100 on a previous shredder which btw tore up the first time an employee bumped into it - I decided to spend a little more money and that money spent has been well worth it!! Shredder has not jammed yet, I shred a lot of legal documents -usually the full 16 pages at a time- This shredder definitely gets the job done. Only complaint is that I have to empty it too often!!

Needed a shredder that was large enough so I would not have to keep emptying it and powerful enough to handle a lot of shredding for at least ten minutes of continuous use. The PS-79CI was just what I need it. The six gallon container is okay since the paper is shredded into really small confetti pieces. The power of the shredder is great. I have been shredding old bank statements and junk mail with no jamming problems. Just keep oil each time you empty the bag.

We bought this for a small office and we don't do a lot of shredding but usually it is a small pile after a meeting. The bin fills up way too fast and I wish I would have spent a little more and bought a more heavy duty one. It is also fairly loud and can't be used when anyone is on the phone. Otherwise it basically works well, though the bin is hard to close.

Bought online. Was a little surprised at the weight of the motor/shredding head of the unit. Needed a little better instructions on the pressure required when inserting the rollers but otherwise It went together easily. As for shredding it is absolutely awesome. The unit we replaced would easily jam and very limited in the number of sheets you could send through. After 5 minutes with the new one I just pitched the old one in the dumpster wasn't even worth keeping around for a spare.
