Finally my home office a clear of sensitive documents. We had tried buying inexpensive shredders that broke down after a month or two of medium utilization. We resorted to burning sensitive documents such as bank statements , credit card solicitations and business documents. We used our wood burning fireplace or outside fire pit. Not very satisfactory since it was time consuming and messy. Having it next to my desk in my one office is very convenient. It allows me to keep up to date on my shredding. This shredder appears to be very well constructed and runs well. It has a pull out bin that can be dumped easily. You don't have to lift the shredding mechanism to remove the shreddings. A bg plus. It hasn't jammed to the point were it requires any maintenance. When it has stopped all it has taken was a minor adjustment and it shreds. Very pleased so far. I am following the requirements to oil the mechanism each time the shredder bin is full. I would recommend this shredder. Don't waste money buying a less expensive one. I probably could have ought two of these with eh money we wasted buying cheaper ones.

I love that it is on rollers and easily moved, and that I can have a plastic bag liner to catch the shreds. A lot less mess and I can easily use it in my compost bin. :) It is quiet, takes sufficient # of sheets, etc. I am pleased with my purchase. Nice safety features and displays to let me know it is full, etc.

Needed a shredder that was large enough so I would not have to keep emptying it and powerful enough to handle a lot of shredding for at least ten minutes of continuous use. The PS-79CI was just what I need it. The six gallon container is okay since the paper is shredded into really small confetti pieces. The power of the shredder is great. I have been shredding old bank statements and junk mail with no jamming problems. Just keep oil each time you empty the bag.

The machine is the best. I brought it before and had it for 10 years. It stopped working and I couldn’t find it anywhere. I got it from Staples but they don’t sell it anymore. I decided to check Walmart and the had it and for cheaper. This product does a great job on what you need it for. So don’t miss out.

This shredder was more expensive than many others and worked after it was put together. however stopped working the same day. The light on the power button turns on then immediately off like there is a short. Now I have to go through the process of returning it.

I had years worth of old paperwork to shred so I decided to try this higher end product. Worked very well right out of the box with no issues. I really like the full bin feature as it stops shredding and continues once you empty or compact the paper bin. It handles multiple pages up to 18 sheets with no problem and staples go through easily.

Received this product quickly after ordering. It is pretty quiet and haven't had a jam but there is no way this shredder will take 14 sheets at a time, which is why I purchased it. But I do like everything else about it so, if that's not important to you, it's a nice little shredder.

This is my second Fellowes shredder. I purchased my first one almost 20 years ago. Yes, over 20 years ago!. . . and I gave it a good workout. Never failed me. It was time to finally replace it. I have used my new one now and it is fantastic. Believe all of the excellent reviews about this great shredder.

Bought online. Was a little surprised at the weight of the motor/shredding head of the unit. Needed a little better instructions on the pressure required when inserting the rollers but otherwise It went together easily. As for shredding it is absolutely awesome. The unit we replaced would easily jam and very limited in the number of sheets you could send through. After 5 minutes with the new one I just pitched the old one in the dumpster wasn't even worth keeping around for a spare.

Terrific Fellowes shredder--quiet, shreds almost anything. If on Auto it will start itself when it senses you are about to insert something to be shredded, turns itself off a few seconds after item shredded. Handsome, heavy duty machine. My prior Fellowes machine lasted over 6yrs with no trouble.
