This is a business use shredder. Not home, but not getting overwhelming use either. Happens to be the 5th one I have had in 6 years but the 1st Fellows brand. So much quieter from the get-go. Lubrication fluid & s few bags provided as well. The last one I had was a micro, and I was not happy. Messier, slower and just really unnecessary. I've burned out the first 3(cross cuts, two of them HSM brand) 4th stopped shutting off automatically (Royal Sovereign brand) This cross cut appears to fit the bill, and with a 2year warranty, I am satisfied.

After spending $100 on a previous shredder which btw tore up the first time an employee bumped into it - I decided to spend a little more money and that money spent has been well worth it!! Shredder has not jammed yet, I shred a lot of legal documents -usually the full 16 pages at a time- This shredder definitely gets the job done. Only complaint is that I have to empty it too often!!

Bought this shredder since my old shredder was getting too weak. This shredder is fast and can shred quite a bit at one time. Its also pretty quiet as shredders go. I only have two small complaints. The basket is a little too small for this shredder. It fills up too fast. Also, Im not sure if its just my machine but my basket seems to hand on the right side when sliding it back in. It needs a little extra effort to snap it back in place. Overall Im very satisfied with this shredder.

Very nice shredder very quite compared to my old cheap one and it is smart if you put your hand near the opening it will shut down which is good if you have little ones around. It also lets you know your shredder is full and it lets you know if your feeding to much paper in and unlike my old one you don't have to turn it on every time you want to use it you just feed it and having wheels makes it easy to move around it's a bit pricey but if it last it's worth it thanks fellowes and walmart.

Returning item to store. Coaster rollers don't fit. Didn't bother to open the rest of the item as this was the least of my worries, but the worst problem. For such and expensive item, I expected the quality to be more and the machine itself to be sturdier.

Prior to the Fellowes I had an Aurora shredder. Capacity was much greater, could shred several layers at a time. With the Fellowes, it's like I'm downsizing, no more than 3 layers at a time and the basket is quite a bit smaller. Fortunately I' shred mainly junk mail. In favor of it is that it is quiet and the drawer is easy to empty.

We bought this for a small office and we don't do a lot of shredding but usually it is a small pile after a meeting. The bin fills up way too fast and I wish I would have spent a little more and bought a more heavy duty one. It is also fairly loud and can't be used when anyone is on the phone. Otherwise it basically works well, though the bin is hard to close.

I gave mine a good workout the first day. Shredded for 2 1/2 hours with breaks long enough to empty the bin. No problems. Like all shredders they never handle the stated amount, but this one comes close. I over loaded one time and it backed up and took a second try to finish. When shredding large amounts like I was, the bin fills up very fast, you can pack it down and keep going for a while longer. For normal use the bin size is fine. So far I think its a great product.

I purchased the Fellowes 79CI after trying to clear a paper jam in my old shredder (which I really liked). The Fellowes is quiet, and works very well. The sheet capacity is 14, which really helps with the load I have put through it. I have "put it to the test" by shredding almost two full file cabinet drawers. The basket is easy to remove for emptying but it is smaller than my old one and needs to be emptied more often. Overall, after only using it for a very short time, I am pleased with this product.

We have a smaller Fellowes Shredder in the office so when I was asked to find a larger version for I immediately began looking at the same brand. I have not been disappointed. The shredder is much quieter than the smaller one and can take on a heavy load with ease. It "chews" through papers, staples (as described) with ease. The wheels are a nice addition so that it can be moved from one recycle bin to another with ease. No complaints so far. Highly recommend.
