This shredder is awesome to use! It’s pretty quiet, shreds well ,shreds several pages at once with no jams. It’s very easy to use. We love it!

I just don't like this shredder. For me it does jam and seems I can only shred maybe 4 pieces of paper at a time. I go through shredders, and I'd have to say this is the worst one I have ever owned and do not recommend it.

Performs as advertised. Good value.

Bought this a month ago. I have really put it through it’s paces, cleaning out my parents old files. It has taken everything in stride.

Had an 89CI for five years before it failed. If the 89CI were still produced, would have purchased it. This was the closest product to the 89CI. Opened the old unit just to look inside. The mechanical parts are very rugged and were likely still good. Probably needed a new switch somewhere. Too bad repair of these units is not available. I believe someone could make a living repairing them. Delivery by Walmart was a week earlier than promised.

Finally my home office a clear of sensitive documents. We had tried buying inexpensive shredders that broke down after a month or two of medium utilization. We resorted to burning sensitive documents such as bank statements , credit card solicitations and business documents. We used our wood burning fireplace or outside fire pit. Not very satisfactory since it was time consuming and messy. Having it next to my desk in my one office is very convenient. It allows me to keep up to date on my shredding. This shredder appears to be very well constructed and runs well. It has a pull out bin that can be dumped easily. You don't have to lift the shredding mechanism to remove the shreddings. A bg plus. It hasn't jammed to the point were it requires any maintenance. When it has stopped all it has taken was a minor adjustment and it shreds. Very pleased so far. I am following the requirements to oil the mechanism each time the shredder bin is full. I would recommend this shredder. Don't waste money buying a less expensive one. I probably could have ought two of these with eh money we wasted buying cheaper ones.

I originally bought a low-end Black & Decker shredder for home usage. I was under-powered and the bin seemed to fill up overnight. This Fellowes shredder has more than enough power for residential use. It doesn't even struggle to power through multiple pages. The controls are easy to use and the credit card/ CD shredding feature is well designed. The bin still fills too quickly but it can be removed and the contents hand-compressed to alleviate the need to dump it too frequently.

This shredder was more expensive than many others and worked after it was put together. however stopped working the same day. The light on the power button turns on then immediately off like there is a short. Now I have to go through the process of returning it.

The shredder took no time at all to assemble, including the casters, they easily stayed in place once I pressed down, they locked into place. The noise level is very minimal, while the safety features reminded me the Bin is open and Bin full, I pressed the paper down several times and continued on. The SafeSense feature is another plus. The plastic bags with the sample bottle of oil; a great reminder to keep the shredder running at its best. Lining the shredder bin with a plastic bag NO MESS. All in all, the shredder is a time saver, money well spent.
