This purchase was to replace a cheaper shredder that I used occasionally, but eventually broke down. The PS 79Ci is more efficient, quicker, and quieter than my previous one. I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend this brand to anyone that needs a high quality shredder of reasonable cost.

Have only had this product for 10 days but so far it has worked like a charm. Shreds quietly and efficiently up to 10 sheets of paper, cards and small staples. So far we have not had any jams or problems but will review again after we use it awhile longer and see if oiling it goes well. Long story short so far everyone in the office loves it. We hope it will last us for quite awhile.

This is my 3rd shredder in as little as 4 years. I use it only at home with a moderate amount of shredding. Even out of the box it has worked twice as well as any other shredder from other manufacturers. It alerts you when you put too much in, it backs out the material automatically, and has wonderful built in safety features. I look forward to this being my last purchase for a long time. Safeguarding yourself from identity theft is of paramount importance today. The proper shredding of compromising documents is one of the single most important safeguards a person can take to help prevent such a tragic event. Before upgrading to my Fellowes PS-79Ci shredder, I failed to shred all such documents, as my old shredder was far too slow, jammed easily and was just unreliable. It's tough and dependable made with sturdy materials. If I had to be critical about this product, it sometimes halts even if the load to be shredded is not 12 pages. It's working great now but I wonder if it will over a year after its warranty expires. Kind of skeptical because I previously had a non-Fellowes shredder that broke after its warranty ran out.

I wanted a jam proof shredder for low volume work at home and the Fellowes PS-79Ci fills the bill nicely. It is very quiet, handles 10 sheets of paper, credit cards, and CD/DVD with ease. If anything jams, simply press the right side of the outer ring surrounding the power button and the motor will manually shred whatever is left in the shredder input. A great purchase for those looking for a jam proof shredder with low noise, safety features that shut off the shredder if fingers get too close to the shredder along with a compact size.

I purchased this product for our small office a couple of weeks ago. We previously had a smaller Fellowes shredder and had very good results with it. I work for a small city & recently decided to go through the old records and shred what we legally could. I discovered that this had never been done and the records go back to the late 30's. So far this shredder had been up to the task. I am continually using it everyday.

I am very satisfied with this purchase, but more than that, 1 store didn't have it in stock, and couldn't tell me when it would be avail;able. This store had it in stock, loaded it into my car and was extremely professional in all aspects of the purchase. I was told how to operate it, etc., etc.

We have had this shredder for four years. Then one day it stopped working. I called customer service, and in minutes they walked me through-step by step-to get it working again. It just needed a little cleaning. That was it. We are a small company (18 people) and use it all the time.
