Great Shredder

This unit replaced a model made by another competitor. The PS-79Ci is excellent with plenty of power to handle multiple documents & staples. Document feeding is easy and efficient. I don't have to worry about small fingers getting into the mechanism either...good safety feature. Highly recommended.

Great Shredder

I have had shredders before, including an earlier version of a Fellowes shredder. This one is the best one I have ever had. It is quiet and dependable. It easily shredds credit cards and many sheets of paper at one time. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this model to anyone. The jam feature is nice since the shredder will not operate if your fingers are too close to the openning.

Powerful Shredder

Our new shredder has been a Godsend. We have already filled three contractor size bags full of old documents. It is compact but packs a powerful punch and is a very quiet shredder. We feel so much more at ease knowing that our personal information is properly shredded and disposed of with our new in home shredder. We really appreciate the safety and power saving features included with this model. Very glad we chose it!

Huge improvement over the HSM Shredder shredstar x10

This Fellowes shredder appears to have a stronger cutter motor than the HSM shredder it replaced. This shredder has all the bells and whistles that one could ask for in a desk side shredder. It also has a convenient waste bin that is easy to pull out so that it can be emptied without having to worry about getting paper shredding everywhere. Thanks Fellowes for making such a reliable and convenient shredder.

Fantastic shredder

this shredder has saved my sanity...our old shredder burned out easily and always needed a break to cool down. In my first DAY of having this one, I plowed through the entire massively huge pile of papers that I needed to shred! it's so easy to use and it goes through everything...paper, staples, cds...now I look for things to shred, where as before I dreaded the thought of having to shred even one piece!

Fellowes PS-79Ci

This shredder is a workhorse. It gets a lot of use, and, in spite of it, performs very quietly. Should my hand be close to the paper feed, it shuts off automatically, a safety feature I really appreciate. The wheels make it very maneuverable, and they slide easily, so no great effort is required to push it. I couldn't be happier with my shredder!! Jorge G. Finlay

Great Shredder!!!

I bought this shredder for personal use. I got it for a decent price, and it has performed admirably ever since the first stack of papers I've introduced to it. It works fairly quietly, and does exactly what its supposed to. I have nothing bad to say about this product, and would recommend it to anyone who needs a personal shredder at home. The only minor detail that I would see could improve this product is the emptying process. sometimes there are shreds that spill out, or are left behind. Other than that this product is perfect.

Excellent shredder

This is my second Fellowes Shredder. The first one lasted more than 10 years, far exceeding my expectations. Without exaggerating, it probably shredded more than 55 boxes of paper and other miscellaneous documents over its lifetime. Fellowes shredders are very reliable and cost-effective. Would choose no other!

First Impressions

Since I just got the shredder, these are my first impressions. First thing I noticed was that the shredder head is HEAVY. I consider this a good thing, indicating a strong motor. Another thing I found (as per other reviews) is that the rollers are hard to push into the holes. I found that pressing down while wiggling forward and back and side to side would get them to "clunk" or "click" into place. Assembly was simple, and it is a fine looking machine when finished. The first thing I did after assembly was oil the cutters. There is a small bottle of oil that comes with it and it seems that it will give about 5 or 6 uses before running out. Don't cut the tip off - poke a hole into the tip with a safety pin or something similar. This will keep you from flooding the cutters with too much oil when servicing. Once the cutters were oiled, I ran a few sheets of paper through, and was glad to find the operation smooth and relatively quiet. After that I shredded about half a basket worth of paper with no problems. Time will tell, but I feel confident that as long as I do my part with care and upkeep, it should be more than adequate for my needs.
