Excellent picture for the price. Unfortunately, we purchase this TV three years ago and recently, due to connection concerns,, we had to add an ethernet cable to stream. This has caused daily problems with popups on the screen that occur constantly.

After checking the entire house we determined that the smell was coming from the tv. We unplugged the tv from the outlet. The next morning we could still smell the burned oder from the tv. We returned the tv for a full refund.

I do have another LG tv that is smaller, but figured if that picture was good the 55" would be equal. After setting it up I was not completely pleased. The picture was not very bright and no matter what I did I could not improve it. After a couple of days I went back through the settings and saw a Power Saver setting which was on. Once I turned it off the picture improved dramatically. I am now a happy customer!

I bought this model reluctantly. My last 43" LG had to be replaced because the four HDMI ports died at the same time. I have a surge protector and had the unit since 2010, so giving it the benefit of the doubt, call it planned obsolescence. Anyway, the new one is user friendly. However, I'm not sure why it has USB ports. I copied an mp4 video to a flash drive and the set would not recognize it. Not sure if this is a software issue or what? Just annoying. To me the jury is still out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was going to purchase a sound bar but found it not necessary. The speakers on set more than enough. The sound is crisp and has more than enough volume. The picture is awesome from any angle. Setup was simple Hung set above fireplace

I setup the TV with ease. Light to carry. I don't use cable, but the features include a built in guide once the TV system scans for the available antenna channel for the area. The power button is under the bottom center which makes it easy to shut off when I'm rushing passed it to leave. Just push in power button and hold until it shuts off! Love this purchase!

Has google asst I’m told but can’t access it unless we purchase a magic remote. also read online lg made a deal with Comcast to have the xfinity app on lg TVs. But couldn’t find it and when I contacted lg was told the app is not available yet.

Very annoying with the glare of the lighting in living room. Bothers my eyes & don’t like seeing the sconce from behind me, in the picture. Would NOT buy another of this model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had for 4 weeks. Image setup was difficult since user documentation was minimal. Had to go on scavenger hunt on internet to find resources as to how to navigate throught picture setup functions. Initially thought set was broken since unable to get quality of picture I saw in store. Finally, selected "Store Demo" mode and got close to quality of image I desired. (When in this function, "MUTE" selection last only 3 minutes and then audio returns.) Best images are obtained when viewing movies on Netflix and YouTube. Cable channel's image quality varies between commercials and other sources on same channel. (Live broadcasts lacking in darker color depth. Picture tends to be white in overall contrast.)
