[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Standard Gillette Fusion Pro Glide razor since I got it in the mail for my 18th birthday, so about 3 years now. I had seen the commercials for the new razor with the flex ball technology but did not make the upgrade until now. After my first shave with the flex ball razor I can definitely say it is a step up from the original pro glide. Where I used to have to try and maneuver the razor around my jawline and by the ears I found it much smoother and fluid with the flex ball.

The Proglide is a great razor but that also comes with a steep price! It does give you an amazingly close shave and the design lets the razor flow across your face like glass but with the refills costing between $26 (6 pk) & $60 (14 pk) I have a hard time swallowing everyday usage.

Being 61 I have been through all of the cartridge razor inventions in the last forty years. I had recently been toying with returning to the old way of shaving with a double edge razor until I tried this new razor. As corny as it sounds, there really is a difference. Reading various reviews of safety razor shaving, various posters always noted that they didn't cut themselves very much and that after a month they got the hang of DE shaving. Then it occurred to me that I haven't cut myself in a very long time and I haven't had a styptic pencil in my kit in years. I think Gillette has some work to do to top this product. Terrific shave with no danger.

I have found that shaving for me, and I have a medium heavy beard, the best way to shave is to wash my face with a good cleanser, use some shave secret pre shave oil, a little good cream, a face brush

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am one of those who prides himself in having a sharp, geometrically sound goatie. There is very little room in my style for stubborn strays in those hard to reach areas around my neck - this razor does incredibly well in eradicating all unwanted hair and cuts cleanly and very comfortably. Its swiveling head is amazing and the proglide lubrication strip has been durable over the last week of use. This product comes highly recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In my initial review 4 weeks ago I discussed the insulin pitiable quality of the new Gillette blades but questioned the value for the premium charged over competitive blades. Much to my surprise, I'm now on week 4 of shaving with the same razor and the quality of the shave has yet to diminish beyond the point in which I would be replacing my old blades. I was in the habit of replacing cheaper blades every 7-10 days with my old shaving system but with the new Gillette pro glide cartridges, I cc can see getting 6 weeks of daily shaves in before having to replace the cartridge. The new Gillette ProGlide: a true value for the money!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only use manual razors. And a a 60-year-old guy who's only occasionally had had a full beard, that's a lot of razor strokes on my face. I'd give this razor and its blades five stars for a manual outfit, but the price of the blades makes that rating impossible. But it's a great shave - close, smooth and clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like getting bzzagent campaigns for razors. The Fusion Proglide manual razor was no exception. It contours to the shape of my face nicely. No knicks and no irritations. I use a manual once a week and an electric razor 2-3 times a week. The handle and the shape of the razor itself is well designed. Truthfully, the handle isn't something that is a huge preference for me, it doesn't matter. The price of this razor is reasonable and comparable to other razors. The quality is good and better than the bic cheapy disposables.

When i first got the razor I checked the package and read everything about pro fusion Pro-Glide razor. Then used it for three times before I decided I would make up my mind if I liked it or not. I was very impressed about the closeness and comfort of the shave and the size of the blades, I did notice the cooling jell for razor burn, I am very satisfied and will use this product again.
