Newman's Special Blend, Bold, tastes the way good coffee should taste. Its not too strong and not too weak. Its about perfect. In fact, I received the Sampler box of Green Mountain coffees when I received my Keurig for my birthday, and 'hands down' Newman's Bold was the very best. I began buying it almost exclusively. Everyone I've shared a K-cup of this with agrees this is fantastic-tasting coffee.

I really did love this coffee and bought in big enough boxes so that it lasted me a long time (no one else in my house drinks coffee). I am now ready to order the next batch, read some comments here, then tried the new "red" label sample box I had. I still have a couple of yellow-orange lids left, so was able to compare/contrast. Unfortunately, not the same. Tried the taste-test again, oh, yuk. I am so sad, sad, sad. Truly blue. How can someone get so emotional over coffee, you ask? It's what makes me want to get out of bed in the morning! That is a big job for a little cup of coffee, and so now I've got to find a new one that makes me want to do a little dance down to the kitchen in the wee hours of the morning again. Sigh. Is there even a possibility that the blend can go back to the original? Was it a bad coffee bean year for Newman's? Is it coming from a totally different source now?

The coffee flavor & texture are great, love the flavor & boldness. The actual container (K-cup) seems to clog my single cup makers too easily. They clog & I get coffe grounds everywhere and ONLY on this particular brand. I have 4 single cup makers and 1 larger maker. SAME happens to all of them when I use this brand. Too much hassel, just switched brands.
