After reading the reviews, I can say that I understand why some people who like bold, strong coffees aren't into Newman's Special Blend. It's a bold, strong coffee for people who don't really want a truly bold, strong coffee. I love coffee, but have never been a big fan of Joe Mugg's or Starbucks (not that either are really that strong), preferring McDonald's or Duncan's to them. Newman's is a great everyday coffee for those who want something just a little stronger and more flavorful than your medium roast Maxwell House or Folger's brews.

Im sad to say something changed i purchased the 80 count box and its so weak i have to now use 2 pods at lower setting to get even close the the old flavor what happened why is it hit and miss with these pods used to be so consistant now i dont think i will buy anymore

The coffee flavor & texture are great, love the flavor & boldness. The actual container (K-cup) seems to clog my single cup makers too easily. They clog & I get coffe grounds everywhere and ONLY on this particular brand. I have 4 single cup makers and 1 larger maker. SAME happens to all of them when I use this brand. Too much hassel, just switched brands.

For the last 8 years this has been our go-to coffee. Guests compliment our coffee often and ask what we use. We like out coffee bold but not darkly toasted (like Starbucks is) and this coffee is perfect. It’s well balanced and delicious, not overly acidic. Cups are clearly marked recyclable (stated they were not in a previous review) These are 12 to a box (most kcup manufacturers have changed to 10/box) We go through about 80/week so we buy in bulk! Love this coffee so much!

This came in my sample pack. I prefer a lighter roast, but I'll drink most any coffee. This was really bold - much too strong for my liking. I tried the Kona Extra Bold and loved it. I drink my coffee black, so don't know if adding cream would have helped.

I love the flavor of this coffee. It's rich and bold, but doesn't have a burnt flavor. In fact, the subtle taste varieties are easily discernible. I like the flavor swishing the coffee around in my mouth and I like it as I swallow. At eight ounces, there's a tad too much bite for my taste, but the coffee is strong enough to withstand ten ounces. No bitterness, yet not watery. I'd love for them to make a regular K-Cup with this blend, but if not, I'm okay doing ten ounces. I drink coffee plain, and this one is absolutely a dream to start or end a day. I've been trying to find a go-to coffee that's rich, yet not bitter or sour and with the subjective flavors I love. I've found it in this Special Blend and I see no more reason to keep hunting when this hits everything I've been looking for. Bravo to Newman's.

I cannot understand why Keurig charges a higher price as a member when the same 80 cup box is less expensive at warehouse stores. I would prefer to purchase here but with shipping it is too expensive. I do not know where else to go to answer this question. Thank you

I take my coffee seriously. I am a fan of espresso an Italian roasts. I am not a fan of the over cooked flavor of French roast. Where I love my Islay Scotch and its burnt wood flavor, I don't like it in coffee. This one was in the trial pack. Great brew. Set the water level for the 5.5 oz, coffee cup-not the mug. Granted, a French Press will delight even more, but the single-pod sure is convenient.

I love this coffee however I recently switched because I was having trouble with too many coffee grinds in my cup. I tried every trouble shooting trick before switching. Unfortunately I think its the cup because I no longer have that problem now that I switched.

We first tried this because we had just run out of the cups that came with our brewer, and it was time for something new. This blend happened to be on sale at the store, so we picked it up. I love the flavor - we use it to brew the regular size cup of coffee (we have the B70 or something that offers 5 cup sizes), and it's a perfect balance. Strong coffee flavor, but not too bitter or overpowering. This is our new stand-by!
