I received a sample of this when I received my brewer. I had never tried this brand of coffee before and I was pleasantly surprised. It has great flavor and is not bitter. I would not call it "extra bold", but it is a great medium roast coffee. It just has great coffee flavor without a bad or strong after taste. I will be purchasing some more of this and probably trying the decaf in this brand as well.

They weren't kidding when they decided to name this coffee, 'bold'. I would say it is the boldest I've had as yet. This is a strong, good tasting cup of coffee. There's some acidity, but i wouldn't call it bitter. it is good alone & with some milk & sugar. also, it is strong enough that it works very well as an iced coffee.

I've tried the Coffee People Organic coffee and it was the WORST EVER! Then I decided to try this one since it had good reviews. I was skeptical about trying it because it's "organic". The coffee smell isn't really pleasant and it has a weird aftertaste kind of bitterness to it even after adding Coffemate French Vanilla. It was A LOT better than the Coffee People Organic Coffee. At least this one I can drink and finish off. A little better than what I had expected but not something I would drink again. Definitely a bold cup of coffee.

As this was literally my first K-cup on a machine received as a Xmas gift, expectations were high. After running a full water reservoir thru with no coffee to clear the manufacture process, the Newman's Extra Bold was chosen and did not disappoint, would have made Paul proud! Great mouth feel, minuscule initial bitterness on the palate, just for a split second and then the balance of acidity and bold coffee flavours take over.

I buy these in bulk from my local buying club, and keep that box in the car so I can take 3-4 in to work each day. We have a Keurig in the break room, and I brew on the least-water setting. Black is how I take mine, just the way God intended coffee to be. ;-) Some days, I'll give a cup to a friend when they comment on the great aroma, and usually win a convert.

This coffee is too bold. To me, it had a burnt nutty taste. I don't enjoy coffee that is too bold as this one. I gave it a try because it came with my new machine, but I would never purchase it on my own. I sipped on it a couple times but ended up pouring the rest out. For those who enjoy super strong cups of coffee this is for you. For those who enjoy mellow, light tasting cups this isn't for us!

I've been buying this blend for a couple years now. It's got a strong flavor (and I typically brew 12 oz from 1 pod) that's a little bitter, but I like it. However, something is wrong with the Kcups, which is why I'm leaving this review. For months now - it's January 2021 and since sometime around the summer of 2020 - I've had issues brewing with these pods. I brew a 12 oz or 10 oz and I end up without a full brew. I thought it was my machine. I descaled, and descaled, and descaled, and made sure to wipe all the parts down again and again and again, and rinsed, and descaled, etc. I decided to try a different coffee pod brand and yesterday I brewed a new pod. My 12 oz actually came out as 12 oz. I brewed a Newman's right after and it didn't fully brew. Today I again brewed a pod from the new brand and it brewed a full cup. What the heck! Turns out all these months the Newman's pods/coffee grinds are the issue! I'm not sure what changed since I didn't use to have this issue the first year, but I won't be buying Newman's pods anymore.

Wish this company could come up with different flavors like cholocate, eggnog. gingerbread, or for example french toast..... The best coffee yet so far. I am a VERY BIG fan of very strong bold coffee with no biter aftertaste and this hands down has done it.

I am not a person that can a pot of coffee, and usually only have one in the morning. but I found that this Newman's coffee is so smooth, that I now like to have a cup in the evening also. Great value. In the stores you will pay $12 for a 12 count box, and that is if you can find it.

I started drinking cafe au lait in New Orleans as a kid. I now live in the Seattle area & I LOVE GOOD, STRONG COFFEE!! This is the closest to a[...] latte as you can get. The rich, nutty, full, non-bitter flavor is perfect. I brew it on the middle cup and add some half n half and agave syrup. I also like Dark Magic (not quite as deep, full flavored) and Caribou Blend (not as strong) & most french roasts (all have a touch of a burnt roast flavor), but this is my favorite.
