My husband gifted this product to me for Christmas & I am so glad he did. I have tried all of the flavors in the sample package, and I must say this flavor HAS to be one of the BEST cups I have ever enjoyed. I only wish it was in the stores, so I would not have to wait on it to reach my home.

This K-Cup offers a nice, hearty cup of coffee, perfect for any time of day or night, and has a pleasant, nutty flavor. It's one of the blends I keep on-hand at the office and at home. If you like a strong brew, without bitter aftertastes, and if you regularly drink coffee, consider purchasing the Value (80-count) pack, when available. You won't be disappointed.

A good everyday type coffee. Rich, bold flavor and good body. However, I give it a 3 because to me it has a bit of an unappealing aftertaste, like old, rebrewed coffee. I prefer Barista Prima Italian, Caribou Mahogany, and Green Mountain Sumatran Reserve over this, as far as dark extra bold roasts go.

I have tried a large number of the 'bold' coffees, and this one is definitely in the bottom half of the samples I have tried. If you're looking for a bold coffee, you should try others. Personally two that I think are much better than Newman's Bold are Emeril's bold and Gloria Jean's Black Gold.

I LOVE coffee and have gone through just about every maker out there in every price range. I am picky about my coffee!!! My motto is, if you can't taste every aspect of what a bean and the roast intended to offer (light, med., dark), why bother? I hate weak, flat, wimpy coffee. Yuk. But, I hate just as much when it is all out of whack -- too much bitter, sour/acid, etc. I like it strong, but I like it balanced. I just bought a Keurig Platinum (my first). I've held out for a long time and I'm pretty darn impressed with the coffee it produces. It came with an array of sample brands & roasts of coffees to try. After throwing out the 'flavored' pods (yuk), I've gone through about 10 roasts thus far and this one stopped me dead in my tracks. I don't need to try any more. This is the ONE for me. Amazingly well balanced, rich, flavorful and stays on the palate. I could drink it all day - with a meal, after or with dessert. If you like a full flavored, rich taste that isn't distracted by that burnt, bitter essence some bold blends can have, try this one. It's organic and goes towards a wonderful cause. Perfect.

This is one of 4 different caffeinated k-cup brands that I rotate on a daily basis and enjoy each one. (I have another set for decaf). I appreciate the helpful ratings, and will add my own for others to use. Newman's is enjoyable and has the right taste combination for me. I prefer an extra bold coffee on the strong rather than mild side, for the most part, and I don't like to notice an after taste. This coffee has no after taste and seems to be just the right strength. No negatives to offer.

I am not a one-coffee kind of a guy. Sometimes I like a dark roast, sometimes a flavored coffee, but not all the time. I can drink this coffee all day long. It's satisfying and flavorful without being overpowering. I keep buying this one over and over.

Everything about this coffee makes me smile. I love drinking this coffee. I like it more than coffee bought brewed from a coffee shop. Try it just black or with a splash of half & half...NEVER ADD SUGAR! My only concern is the cheap K-cup, in which the foil top delaminates from the plastic cup and explodes coffee grounds all over the inside of my machine as well as in my cup. Nothing ruins an amazing cup of coffee like spending 20 minutes cleaning a machine before trying again.

I'll put it right out front that I like my coffee fairly mild. I drink it for flavour, not to wake up or anything like that. If given a choice, I'll generally choose house blend or something mild at a coffee shop. That said, much like many other reviews, one of this flavour came with the K-cup machine I got as a present. As always, I tried a sip of it prior to sugar/cream, just to see what it's like naturally. It was, in essence, the equivalent of licking a battery post. So ridiculously acidic tasting was that first sip, that it took a LOT of sugar and creamer (flavoured creamer) to make it drinkable, since hey... why waste it when you can just cover up the taste. Long story short, instead of buying a bag or box of this flavour, I'd probably just buy a 9-volt battery to lick instead. Probably cheaper in the long run before the battery dies. But seriously, it LITERALLY tasted like I had licked a battery. HOW in the world this is one of the highest rated coffees here, I'll never know. But again, I tend to avoid the 'bold' coffees, never mind extra bold. People who prefer that are a bit... special in my eyes.

Wish this company could come up with different flavors like cholocate, eggnog. gingerbread, or for example french toast..... The best coffee yet so far. I am a VERY BIG fan of very strong bold coffee with no biter aftertaste and this hands down has done it.
