Brilliant New Display

I bought this to take advantage of the new brighter screen and have been pleased with the purchase. I wish that Garmin and Apple played better together (i.e., take calls on the Garmin, respond to texts, etc.) but I'm not sure that Apple will allow that.

Great Functionality But Some Limitations

Overall, it looks very cool and works well. I get 7 days not 11 days on a charge but that's plenty. I find the interface with Garmin Connect to be variable. Often, I need to refresh several times to get weather to transfer. Accuracy is decent but not excellent. For example, I need to recalibrate altitude frequently and still get different data for the same spot. I stopped trying to use the elliptical and strength apps so if fitness tracing is your need look elsewhere. On strength it was terrible at tracking reps. I'm not sure how it is supposed to detect reps but it simply doesn't.

I love this watch!

I love garmin products and the Epix is now my favorite. The colorful display is so nice and the watch offers so much data. It's a great tool for any tool bag. I am very impressed with the battery life evergreen with the display. I would highly recommend the Epix.

Garmin epix 2

Watch is great, picked over the fenix7 for the amoled screen, completely worth it, more features then I'll ever use but everything I needed, a little over priced for what I'll use it for but happy I got it, got to try it hiking and mountain biking, did great tracking and was so easy to read even in full sunlight, very impressed, anyone looking for a full tracking watch will be more then happy.

Great fitness/smart watch

Love the bright display, had a watch with the cheaper display, this one really pops no matter the ambient light. Coming from a competitor fitness product, the Garmin universe is very robust. The training plans, tracking and input are much more in-depth, rather than just getting data, you get some feedback. Battery life is good, not as good as my previous watch, but that's the price for the AMOLED display. Looks nice, band is comfortable, and has worked great!

Everything is great except for the buttons

Great sportswatch, even a couple years after it's released, everything you need. GPS can throw weird signals occasionally on the non-sapphire version, but its acceptable for the most part. On-watch maps are great, especially when navigating new places, as well as when you get lost (as ive done). Only a month with it, but already a couple buttons seem to be not as 'clicky' as what they used to be. I read this issue existed, and will see if it gets worse. Everything seems to function okay, just not as sure about some of the presses i make. Battery life is great, but can i experienced a bit of accelerated drain from listening to music, podcasts or audiobooks on my watch when on a run. Should still easily last a marathon, but don't expect the 1-2 weeks advertised if that's the use case

Does it all

Music on the run and no phone in my pocket is freeing. Creating intervals on the app and not on the watch is a big leap forward in ease of use. After a bike ride so much useful information becomes available. I love having the HRM connect with Zwift and other apps. Anyone into fitness can be motivated by using this watch. It's beautiful to wear even when not working out. You won't be disappointed with this purchase.

Best smart watch in the market

I have been using this watch for 3 months and it never disappointed me. Recently did a hike and mid way we could not find the trail to the Garmin maps helped me to complete the hike. Also appreciate its battery life. This product would fit great for both beginners as well as experts becasue it has day to day app features and vast variety of sports applications. Just watch out, if you want to have access to your phone from the watch, its limited.

Top Notch Fitness & Outdoor Watch

First smart watch i have owned. I hate items that require a bunch of learning on how to use or setup. This watch pretty much comes ready to take on an adventure straight out of the box. I used it right away for trail running, mountain biking, hiking, etc. Strengths: Super light on wrist. Barely feel it is there and very comfortable band. Really like how specific the fitness activities are and how it customizes what information to give you based on them. For instance, running vs trail running vs hiking. Battery life is also a major plus. Can confidently say it matches what the manufacturer advertises. Also like that it has physical buttons compared to apple watch. Much more glove friendly to use. Weaknesses - Optical heart rate monitor not always accurate, especially when not in a selected fitness mode. If you are hoping for some sort of jump in technology that will no longer require you to wear a chest band for accurate heart rate, this is not it. Sleep stats also not very helpful. The watch bases whether you got good sleep or not almost entirely on how much you moved. For instance, I tend to be a bit of an insomniac while backpacking. Of the 10 hours I was in my sleeping bag, I probably only got 3 hours of sleep. But the watch thought I had gotten the best sleep of my life since I hadn't been moving around. And while it also looks at HR info to judge sleep, as previously stated, the HR info can be wildly inaccurate. Still an outstanding watch that I would buy again!

Great Multisport Watch

I use this watch every day. I have used it hiking, running, snowboarding, biking, and everything in between and the watch has never left my side. I came from a 5th gen Fenix and the screen on this new Epix watch BLOWs the pants off the Fenix display. Sure it doesn't get the crazy battery life of the Fenix but I can still manage close to a week without having to charge it and to me, that is a good enough trade-off for the display.
