I bought the sky fort II a little over a month ago and finally found time to complete it. I was able to assemble the whole swing set by myself over 2-3 weekends (20-30 hours). The assembly instructions provided in the box were straight forward. I preferred the instructions manual for collecting parts prior to completing the next step but I also highly recommend using the app (“BILT”) that was advertised on the boxes. It was extremely helpful with the 3D diagrams when I needed reassurance that I interpreted the manual correctly. NOTE: I consulted with friends who have been through this before for their tips / tricks / advise. They (like the manual) recommended that I lay all the parts out prior to starting. I ignored this advise and left all the boards in the 4 boxes in my garage. I had dreams of working on the next steps after dark which never happened. This was my biggest mistake. Each box contained a parts list which helped but I believe at least 30% of my time was spend sifting through the boxes looking for the next part. If you have the space lay out the parts! My 2.5-year-old loves it!

This purchase was a little intimidating when it arrived in four large, heavy boxes. The instructions were almost entirely pictures so that was a bit of a disappointment, but it seems in this age of accommodating several languages of instructions, that is the accepted method. Regardless of the daunting task that we thought we were about to undertake, this project was both fun and educational. Our parts were all there. The hardware is heavy-duty and the brackets are made of material that you feel confident in their strength and stability. It took two (and sometimes three of) us over 40 hours to put this guy together, and the hardest part was keeping the children off the individual sections as we completed them until it was finished. I would recommend this product to anyone. The price was quite inexpensive for the quality of the product. And, the children love it. That's the true measure of this product.

We bought this last month for our two kids (7 and 5) and it's great! We've had 6 friends over at once to play and there are so many options that it really is perfect!! The set up was time consuming, as expected. The only critique I have is that some of the set instructions could've been more clear, but it wasn't too hard to figure out.

Rough to set up. The amount of pieces is overwhelming and took my handy hubby and I the whole weekend, but I would say it was worth it in the end. The kids love it. They especially love the lookout to see our neighbor horses over the fence, the upper fort provides awesome shade and a wind block, and the sandbox area is a favorite for my youngest. I think we’ll add a large saucer swing under the monkey bars until they are bit older and can’t tackle those.

The build was not super hard, but it did take a while. Nothing was missing or broke in the boxes. The kids absolutely love this. My only issue, the packaging in the boxes was completely mixed up. I’d be happy to pay for the extra boxes to have all of the parts for one step in the same box. We had to completely unpack and sort everything in order to be able to funds parts for each step in the build.

I research a great deal before I purchase anything significant. This Skyfort placeset is the best product you can buy for the money. The quality of the wood and building materials, design and complexity of the playset cannot be had elsewhere for less. A similar rainbow playset would be $3000-5000 depending on the wood you choose. I ordered the playset online, it was delivered quickly and placed where I had designated. After some deliberation I decided to have it professionally installed by Sams Club/NEW. I am very grateful I chose that route. It took 2 professionals which have built this thing over 20 times, over 12 hours. I cannot speak to how long it would take to build it yourself, but it would be much longer than this. There is no right or wrong answer, just be aware there are costs either way you go, money or time. It was $500 to install, which is very fair in my opinion. I also decided to build a bordered in play area for the set. I used landscape timbers and fabric and 14 cubic yards of mulch. It was an extra expense, but was well worth it. Lastly you will need to Stain/Seal the wood of this set "every year" according to the manual. They recommend a Thompsons Water Seal. Unless you like to redo things over and over every year I would buy a better product. I decided after a great amount of research to use Flood TWF Semi-Transparent Stain. This will likely last 3 years before it has to be sanded and redone instead of every year for a Thompsons product. My kids love it and I feel great about getting them something so fun to play with.

I bought this over the winter. I prepped all parts and built all parts that could be stored indoors. Made installation much easier once spring came around. Was able to install the entire playset with good prep in 2 days. 95% of the wood was in good condition. I would recommend this product to any friend or family.

I bought Skyfort 2 about 2 months ago. Four huge boxes came on time. Nuts and bolts are excellent, lumber can be a little thicker. Otherwise, took me and my friend 4 to build it. It took one day to unpack and sort the lumber. For the price we got in Sams club this playset has lots of different features like monkey bars that you would not find on most playsets. If built right it is very strong and stands well on the ground. The fort is nice too. So far three kids used and abused it and it stands. I will not stain it the first year but will do it all other years. It is a good product for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All of my grandchildren love the new swing set. My grandson enjoys climbing up into the fort. All the children spend several hours a day swinging, climbing, digging and sitting at the table enjoying their snacks. This was a great investment that they will use for many years.

We bought this about a month ago. We have six kids, from 10 to newborn. All of the kids enjoy playing. They spend hours on it everyday. Imagination station at its best with this swing set. We've had pirate ships, a restaurant, school, princess tower and volcano all out of this play set so far. Lots of fun being had here!!
