The grandkids LOVE this thing. The whole thing was packaged very well. I did have to make a modification to part SP50; the holes at the top were on the wrong side. It only took a few days to assemble, but, would have taken longer if I did not have the “bilt” app to help. I would definitely recommend this swing set!!

After reading all the reviews on here it helped a ton putting it together. I never review anything, but I will start now. The swing set is perfect when it’s put together, but it does take some time. Read all the reviews and you’ll know all the hang ups. When you’re confused, take a look at the picture and it will usually help. I got turned around a couple times and had to take some items apart, but it was minimal. I think the biggest suggestion I can give you is to spend the time sorting everything when you get it. I was missing the one inch wood screws and the telescope was smashed. Customer Service took my call and they were delivered the next day. Make sure you have a lot of room to lay the wood out, it’s amazing how many pieces this thing actually comes in. I sorted everything in alphabetical order and numeric order. Finding boards was easy. I would also suggest putting all the bags of Fasteners in large containers. I just put them in large zip lock bags, but plastic containers would work well. I received it on a Thursday and started that night after work. With the use of a spotlight I was able to work for about 4 hours on Thursday and Friday. My wife helped maybe 1-2 hours a night after the kids went to bed. Then on Saturday I was up and started by 7am and worked until 11pm. I did have help from 10am until 4pm. So all and all it took me about 23-25 hours with I would say 8-9 hours of help from another person. 6 hours with another handy male and about 3 with my wife. I really wanted it done by Sunday am so I was working pretty hard with minimum breaks, but overall I think it goes together pretty straight forward. Read the directions carefully and print more than one set if you have help. My 2.5 daughter loves it! Good luck…

Purchased and set up a year ago. Will work well for my 3 year old toddler. I do not see this lasting very long without adding more support or replacing several boards. I wish I spent slightly more money and bought a more heavy duty playset with a couple less features. I currently dread having to tend to an accident due to this sets flimsy materials. None of these approval features, monkey bars, Rock wall, etc are worth the fear I have while my son plays on this set. I have no issue with the company, everything came in good shape. I just wish I had went with higher quality and less flare. I will most likely reinforce several parts of the set with 2x4s. I'll sacrifice looks for piece of mind.

We purchased this playground for Christmas this year and my kids have loved it. It definitely took longer than I expected to put together but the instructions and companion app were amazing. Every step was easily explained and labeled. I probably had as much fun building it as my kids have had playing on it.

Great Quality for the money. I was impressed with how all the lumber was stamped with letter/number codes for easy inventory. We weren't missing any parts, thank goodness. I can see my son and his friend will have years of fun on this play set. Thank you for the careful design and planning. We are very pleased! We do also plan to seal it as soon as possible, so it will last in the Texas sun and harsh winter winds here in El Paso. Great fun! Much better than buying cheap pine wood equipment....cedar in the way to go!

We have had out Sky Fort for about a year and a half. We couldn't be more pleased with the purchase. When it arrived on a very large truck, we were a bit intimidated. However, the precise directions, clearly marked pieces of wood, and pictures in the manual made putting this together very doable for two adults. As for the upkeep of the wood, we have not had to maintain the stain color. The wood still looks as beautiful as it did when we put it together. The specialty hardware keeps the bolts tight and doesn't seem to need much tightening.

Purchased this and installed it June 7-9. My kids (2 and 3.5) LOVE LOVE LOVE it and do everything but the monkey bars and the rock wall. We had friends over, 4 kids between 5-16, and they loved it as well. Heck, I enjoyed using it and I'm in my 40s! There is something to do for everyone. I put it together by myself and it was about 30-hrs. But, instructions were VERY clear and EASY to follow. Biggest time consumer was gathering the right combination of fasteners and finding the right wooden parts among the 4 boxes. If I had to do it all over again, I would photo copy the instructions and have 1 person gathering the parts and fasteners while the other assembled the fort. Pay close attention to the lengths of the fasteners and when it notes the orientation of specific parts or holes. It matters. But if you follow the instructions, you'll get it all right. I would also recommend having at least a power drill, if not an impact driver. Lots of lag bolts and such that would have taken a lot longer if I was doing it by hand. In the end, 100% happy and 100% recommended. If you're looking for a play set that spans a lot of age brackets and you have the room for something of this size, this one is absolutely worth considering.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Backyard Discovery Skyfort II with Wave Slide Cedar Swing Set/PlaySet - Assembled One of the best investments I ever made. We did lot of research on the internet to buy a good swing set with tree house, monkey bars, a slide , a rock climber and a little party table for our grand kids. After a lot of research finally we have decided to buy “Backyard Discovery Skyfort II with Wave Slide Cedar Swing Set/PlaySet – Assembled” It was a wise decision that we opted for professional assembly. Technician John was an excellent technician and did a perfect job assembling the set in 9 hours. Since the day we installed the set, kids have been playing and enjoying it. Our neighborhood kids also come and play. In fact couple of my grand kids friends in the neighbourhood are asking their parents to buy a house next to our house to play all the tie on the Swing Set. This set is not only attractive to kids but also to grownups My daughter who is a senior executive and is working from home made the party table her home office during sunny days enjoying the perfect weather and get more work done that way. It deffinitely enhanced the looks of our backyard. Most important for me is our grandkids are enjoying it. They look forward to come home from school and go play with the Backyard Discovery set. They invite friends are having a good time. All quality and sturdy material was used and I am sure it will last several years. I confess, I am tempted to go play with the set. I highly recommend this product over others. Most importantly, I highly recommend professional installation.

the swing set is great now that it is assembled. the delivery did not go well and we had to go pick it up and that was a difficult process also. the assembly is much more intensive than I thought it would be it took four of us two days to get it done. no part of this set is pre assembled. some of the board were not marked very well and we were short some important screws other screws we had several extras. the quality of the wood and the parts is excellent our boys will be enjoying this for a long time.

Some of the best instructions I have ever seen. Very detailed and shows great detail. Only complaint some more could have been completed and then added on at a later point (ie crows nest). My children absolutely love it. Took us four days to assemble. From sorting to finishing the set.
