This swing set really is amazing for the money. The directions could use some serious help as everyone has said in their review. Its true. But once its together I dont think you can beat it. It really helps to lay all the boards out first. It held my husband up (210lbs) while he was up there screwing the roof together...both my husband and I have gone down the slide and been on the swings with the kids and I didnt even feel the swingset flex...so it feels safe enough for a bunch of kids to me. My only complaint is the wood feels kind of soft...like super light when you pick up a board...not very dense I guess...so its easy to take a small chunk out of it with something the kids are playing with up there. Not a big deal I just wish the wood was heavier duty. My daughters LOVE LOVE LOVE it and it is something my 3 year old can grow up with!! I would HIGHLY recommend this!! (we moved the ladder around and added a second slide from a previous swingset...this swingset only comes with the ONE slide on the front.)

Great swing set very sturdy. It took my husband two eight hour days to put it up by himself without any help. We did need to purchase some screws and a couple of extra bolts that were missing... Not a big deal. Five bucks total at our local hardware store. My son and his friends absolutely love it and it looks great in our yard. People think we spent a lot more on it than we did.

I bought this set last December as a Christmas present for my two boy, and it's been wonderful. Building it when the snow is starting to fall is a very bad idea, as you want to take your time and pay close attention to the instructions (near LEGO quality). My only issues have been with broken screws since it's seen the summer sun. Higher quality screws would significantly increase the cost, so I'm not bothered replacing the few the snapped.

definitly organize and inventory the boxes. We were missing 23 boards from our playground, but the company was very pleasant to deal with and had our missing pieces to us in 3 days. we are almost done with assembly and it has been 13 hours, definitly a good weekend or long weekend project! Very nice looking product, well worth the money!

I have only had the swing set put together for a week at this point, but the kids love it so far! Customer service was great, the guys that came to install it worked very hard, and had it put together in about 5 1/2 hours. The kids have been playing on it non-stop, it's also very pretty! I thought it was going to be too bulky, but it's actually the perfect size as well. A great buy!!! Hoping it stands the test of time!

Overall the unit is OK and looks good but some of the material is very thin. The instructions, illustrations, and the markings on the material are below average. Three of us were busy for two days putting the unit together and all of us are very handy. One of the three was busy those two days pulling the pieces and hardware required for the two assembliers. We have all done home remodeling, car repair, etc and one of the three is a mechanical engineer. I believe the assembly could be simplified in many ways. The important thing is that my three Grandson's love it. I would only recommend this unit to someone who is very handy, has several days to put it together and few good friends that could help.

We researched many playsets and this one came up as the most afforable and kid friendly. The wood looks sharp abd the play area is big. We thought the online pictures were photo cropped to make it look bigger, but after installed it was large. We hired some guys to come put it together and they did it in about 10 hours. Our kids like it a lot and we would buy again.

We did a lot of research before purchasing this set, and we are very happy with it. We have 5 kids ages 2-9 and our oldest is about 5ft tall. We wanted something that kids of all ages could use that wouldn’t be too flimsy for lots of kids, and that our oldest could still use. This thing is sturdy! We replaced the middle bar thing with another swing. we often have 3 kids swinging on this at one time, and the set doesn’t move at all. My husband is 6’2” and can stand upright in the upstairs of the main tower. At the same time, I don’t feel like it is unsafe for our 2 year old. It did take quite some time to put together, but the sheer amount of bolts on this thing really gives me peace of mind.

This is a really nice build. It does take some time and can be done by one person. So far I have spent about 8 hours on it, and I'm towards the end. I am thinking about adding a mini pergola to the top of the crows nest. The attached photo is showing it almost completed! There is a light at the end of the tunnel. I do have a few tips: 1 - Read the instructions! 2 - As you pull everything out, organize by letter, and then use those letters to organize each by number. Trust me, you'll thank me for all that OCD work. 3 - Take all hardware and lay it out separately on a large table. This will save TONS of time on your end when you have to look for 3-5 different bolt lengths that have the washer/t-nut. 4 - Not all pieces with the same letter and numbers are in the same box. There are four boxes, and yes, the slide is in sections inside the box. 5 - If it's cold outside, head indoors with your slide pieces. This will make the slide surface easier to bow into the slots. 6 - Go slow with the screws. The bolts and lag bolt are no biggie, but the screw you'll want to put in slowly, especially when you fastening into a thin width. 7 - Pay attention to the piece orientation. I know it can be hard because of the darkened print pieces currently on each step, but you'll notice holes that need to be in the right spot, or else you end up drilling holes mid process. Easy to do, but could have saved time on my end! 8 - When applying the T-Nuts into the wood, use a mallet and pop it in. This will make life lots easier! 9 - Be patient. This build is worth the patience for the price tag! 10 - Don't hesitate to reach out to customer service. I had 6 pieces that I needed replaced (not their fault - shipping's fault) and they were hands down amazing. It was free (except I wanted it fast, so I paid $15 to ship all my replacements in two days). GOOD LUCK!

I purchased this 17 months ago. However, due to bad weather conditions, I was not able to get it assembled and in place until last fall, thus it has now been installed for a period of 8 months - through the winter, a very warm but wet winter/spring. Overall, I was very pleased with the quality, especially since it is somewhat more costly than competitor's models. I loved the fasteners provided. Overall the markings on the boards was good although I did have a couple of problems with the wrong board being shipped. In one case, I trimmed the edge off a couple of boards that were too wide; in another case, the board was too short and I had to have the company ship me another board, which they did promptly. I did pre-coat each board (as recommended by the manufacturer) with a semi-transparent exterior coating, dipping the end of each board into the paint bucket to ensure a good coating on the ends. Of course this was quite time consuming but worth it in the long run as the coating supplied by the manufacturer is merely a stain and not a weather-resistant coating. I have seen the same product nearby that the customer did not coat and within a year it is beginning to look quite weathered while mine looks as pristine as the day I put it together. I did bury an 8 x 12 x 4 concrete block under each significant ground contact point, making sure they were solid and level. I then added my own turnbuckles and eyebolts to ensure the set did not move or "jump." Also, we purposely left off one roof panel (next to the crow's nest) to provide more light to the playhouse. In addition, I placed a kids picnic table in the lower floor area in that the manufacturer's design of the picnic table blocks off the access to the floor area except to climb over the wall or go through the sandbox. The only aggravating issue I had with the entire experience were the drawings in the instruction book used to assemble the swing set. I called the company about this and provided written documentation to them regarding the issue. They said they were glad I called as well as provided pictures and written descriptions - by part number, but I can't say for sure they ever made any corrections to the instruction book. Overall, the instructions were detailed and properly progressive. The biggest problem, in addition to a couple of times where the instructions were in actual error, was that the graphic renderings were confusing. I am sure they looked really good on a CAD screen but when they were printed, hidden lines disappeared making it look like a part that was behind another part look like it is in front of the part, causing me numerous times to assemble a subassembly only to have to take it apart and reassemble it in the opposite location - no easy task given the hardware provided. I found that if I consulted the next step or two in the process, the rendering there actually often provided a truer picture of the prior subassembly than the one supposedly depicting the subassembly. I doubt the company fixed this even though I brought it up to them more than once. So, watch your step and don't get in a hurry or think you understand how a subassembly goes together until you check ahead in the book.
