Beautiful and functional playground
This playground was a 2nd birthday gift for our daughter. She absolutely loves it and will be able to grow into it throughout the years. It's a huge hit with all of our friends and family. Construction was tedious, but we assembled the whole playground in a weekend with 6 adults. Some of the boards were split upon arrival, but the company was happy to replace the pieces. We are slightly disappointed with the thickness of the boards. Make sure to put a coat of outdoor weather protectant on it as soon as it's assembled. It will enhance the beautiful cedar and protect it for years to come.
Fun at its purists!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this set 8 months ago for my 8 year old. She has really enjoyed having “reading clubs, dance clubs, and so many other gathering in the club house with her friends. It’s been a good investment.
Great Gift!
We ordered the Skyfort Cedar Play set for our grandson, age five. His dad has hired people to set it up. It arrived in five huge boxes with about 135 (?) screws. I have no idea how the installation is going but we love the photos of the set and we are sure our grandson will love playing on it. Other reviews indicate difficulty with set-up but we feel like the set is worth it.
Thank you for your 5-star review.
Great product for a great price!
This playset contained all the items requested by my children (monkey bars, double swing, fort, slide, sandbox) at a great price. We've only had it for a month, so I can't speak to the durability, but it's been hours of fun, fun fun for my 3 and 5 year-olds. It is also the "kid-attractor" in the neighborhood and I'm happy to have them all playing in my backyard!
Not worth the price
I purchased this swing set a month ago an started putting it together this past week. I've discovered while following all the steps step by step that I've had to drill holes where there were supposed to be holes at.Its frustrating to keep switching from a drill bit to a Phillips head due to them not drilling the holes as they were supposed. The wood is very soft so it splits easily while drilling if you don't drill just right. They do not give you any extra screws/ bolts an I've had some strip out, I feel if you paying this huge amount for a swing seat that they should give you some spares. The swing set is massive, which is what we expected but the quality of the wood is not the best by far for this price at all.

Everything we wanted!
We tried purchasing playset last year, but all the ones that we were interested in were sold out. I’m so glad we waited for this one. It includes all the features we were looking for and has something for both our 4 and 1.5 year old with room to grow. I expect the 4 year old can enjoy this for another 6+ years. My husband read many reviews before purchasing this and was a little concerned about the comments regarding confusing instructions. He is happy that we went with this one and has said multiple times that he doesn’t agree with those reviews. Yes, it took us close to 20 hours to put together, but the instructions were clear and easy to follow. We had no issues with missing or broken pieces.
Overall, a wonderful set
A month. This took a month to complete. Why? Lot's of pieces, solo assembly, and Texas. Texas weather was quite uncooperative some weekends. And staining. Yes folks, you MUST stain/seal this set. Some build then stain. My wife and I chose to hand-stain each and every piece of wood in the set to ensure first coat coverage. In a couple of months, I will whip out the sprayer and spray stain. It is a good looking set. And big. The bad: The wood feels and handles rather light. This led to some split pieces, including main tower support leg B1 where lag screws were placed for attaching G3 floor rail, as well as one of the monkey bar E5 uprights when attaching a rung. One of the bay window panels was broken on arrival. A couple of the 074 T-nuts sunk a little too far during the beginning hours of assembly. I learned that modulating drill power is far more effective than relying on setting stopping torque on the drill. And that damned crow's nest assembly. At 280lbs, 6ft tall, it was pure hell trying to contort and squeeze my big self through that little access hole. But, it is possible and my weight was supported without a flinch. One key point when assembling the crow's nest is the attachment of the lower M4 wall rail to the crow nest supports. You won't be able to get a power drill in due to sloped roof interference. Use the tool that comes with the set to hand tighten the lag screws on the lower board. Now for the good. Everything else. It is an impressive set that feels supremely sturdy. My daughter absolutely LOVES this kinder graduation gift! Her mom has great tastes and chose this set! One final note - for those in an HOA, be sure to submit for ARC approval before assembling! The Crow's nest may present a privacy gripe if there are backyard stipulations in your CC&Rs.
Needs better marking and assembly instructions
I work as a commercial construction superintendent and read blueprints as a daily part of my job. The design of the plans leaves a lot to be desired. First off as many others have complained the marking on the pieces is of poor quality and barely legible. there are many pieces that have multiple punched holes, some only pilot holes but the plans do not clearly indicate which way these pieces go in. even after using my skills at reasoning to put the pieces in place I still had a couple of pieces in wrong and had to re-drill new holes to complete the assembly. .If the pieces were marked on one end with the top of the marking to be the top of the board and then the piece mark to be at one end shown on the plans this would make this much easier to assemble. The prep for the crows nest ended up in between boards instead of the middle of a board. I double checked what I did and it matched the plans. I had to modify the assembly as I did not feel that it would be safe. I want to let everyone know this set is a lot less expensive than others on the market and you can see why when you get your kit. the wood is thin and it will need to be treated often to prevent it from splitting and cracking. I completed the assembly in about 20 hours with a little help from a friend finding the pieces and gathering the bolts needed and would say that is about the time anyone with a little building knowledge should expect to spend putting this up. I would say it is not bad deal for what I paid for it and the time it took to put up but I would guess it will only last about 4 to 5 years with good maintenance.
definitely use the app
overall, the bilt app was amazing. there were a couple of sections where the parts weren't labeled but it's was easy to determine the part by the picture and it's also in the instructions. it just makes it quicker to touch ther part to see what it is instead of having to wait for the narrator to get to it. still, the app made a relatively intimidating assembly very easy by breaking it down into simple steps.
Nice playset
This is a very good quality playset, although some of the directions are not that clear, and alot of the screws require you to use more than one washer which caused us to run out. I called to order more but they took way to long to get here in the mean time we spent extra money to buy more. There were also some damaged boards which the company said they would get right out to us. They took over a week to get here which is a long time when your kids are begging you to finish.
