I bought this for my 3 year old daughter and she’s now obsessed with it. The play set is as advertised. I opted to build it myself and it took 16 hours with a helper. Two of those hours were laying out all of the pieces and organizing them, which is something I highly recommend. The instructions were pretty clear and easy to understand. I did not try the app that was recommended, but it all worked out.

My wife and I bought this a year ago for our 3 kids, ages between 5 and 8. We spent about 30 hours assembling (60 man hours) and are moderately skilled. Instructions are straight forward, all parts included. Some of the biggest time consuming was digging through boxes looking for specific pieces of wood. The boxes are pretty heavy (there were 4 for us) so drop it as close as you can to where you plan to work. The first 5 or 6 hours were assembling things relatively small so we were able to do this in our garage. Was able to use a tall bar stool instead of a step ladder. Only fought once which is better than normal for projects for us, so would consider this low stress.

I was impressed with how well written the instruction were and all the pieces were labeled nicely. We made sure to take the time to seal all the boards before beginning assembly which doubled the total assembly time. Everything fit very well and I only had 2 issues with some of the hardware which was easily remedied with the extra hardware that was included. Some of boards have started to crack now that it's been put together for a month+ but so far nothing super concerning. My 4 year old daughter absolutely loves playing on it! This will provide years of fun for her and it looks great in the backyard too.

We made a good selection.  Parents and kiddos are very happy with Skyfort II. We used the instruction manual along with the Bilt app when building and we had this playground up in a total of 22 hours with the help of 3 other men. I had everything sorted in letter groups then put them in sections ie: fort, crows nest, swing and monkey bars. So easy to locate the parts for each section of the playground that way and I think that's why it was built so quick. We had one peice that was split so I called Backyard Discovery and with little hold/wait time I ordered the peice along with a new telescope with no issue. Ours was warped. I had ordered through another company, an infant swing and a play phone. Both green and it matches the sets other peices. With our children who are 18mths, 4yrs, 8yrs and 11yrs, they will enjoy this set for a long time. Mom even climbs up the crows nest with them. She is 5'7 and can stand straight up deck portion of the fort. Dad is 6'3 and he stands straight up in the middle of the main fort house. Lots of room and not short or small playset. This is must!! We bought the set one year ago. It immediately needed to be sealed. We ofcourse didn't have the money to seal it after paying for the set so we decided to wait. There are worn spots all over the set. It looks about 5 years old. Several pieces cracked upon assembly(and I had an experienced carpenter help me assemble it). I bought it because I thought it would be big and sturdy enough for the kids to swing on. My 5 yo(40pnds) can't swing high on it because the whole swing bar shakes. It comes with a glider and two swings we removed the middle swing. It's way too cramped and dangerous. The wood overall seems very soft and thin. I have a home daycare and unfortunetly don't anticipate this thing lasting over 5 years. I absolutely regret buying this one. The reviews all looked great and it's a really cool looking set but it isn't made well enough.

We researched a ton of play sets and this one had everything we were looking for. It will be perfect for our kids for many years. It was quite the task to put together but worth it. It’s sturdy, holds up in all sorts of weather, including winter. I highly recommend it.

Besides it taking a few weeks to get it set up we had missing bolts and had to go to the store several times to get bolts and screws that would work for it. Quality of the wood is ok they could do better. Picture looked much bigger then what it actually was. The price could be less for the quality and all the missing bolts.

Overall Im happy with the swing set we purchased. My kids really liked the tower cause it adds a third level to the playhouse. My husband and I build the swing set ourselves which took us a week to build. Really wished the instruction would have included which box I could find the pieces I needed for at least the first few pages. Just to complete step 1 the piece I needed was in the fourth box underneath all the heavy wood. It took me nearly an hour just to find that one piece to be able to move on to the next page. The other thing I was unhappy with is that my kids have only played with the swings set for 3 weeks and the slide already fell apart. My husband said he can fix it because it didnt break but not sure if once he fixes it if it will come apart again.

It took us a couple of weeks to assemble this. It was just my husband and I after work and on the weekends when he could work on it. The assembly is time consuming but not necessarily difficult. Our 4 year old loves it. She has played on it for hours each day since we finished it.

If you like giant erector sets, this is your cup of tea. Instructions for the most part are pictures, so pay close attention to where holes are and the direction they face. The other tidbit I would offer is use a square. It took time but got built. My grand daughter loves it, which means it was worth it.
