Great addition to my Garmin family

I recently purchased the Garmin Index BPM Smart Blood Pressure Monitor, and I have been thoroughly impressed with its performance and features. The device is easy to set up and use, thanks to its user-friendly interface and clear instructions. One of the standout features of this blood pressure monitor is its accuracy. I have compared the readings from the Garmin Index BPM with those from a traditional blood pressure cuff, and the results have been consistent and reliable. This gives me confidence in the device's ability to provide accurate readings. I also appreciate the connectivity options that the Garmin Index BPM offers. The ability to sync the device with the Garmin Connect app on my smartphone allows me to track my blood pressure trends over time and share the data with my healthcare provider if needed. The app also provides helpful insights and feedback to help me better understand my health. Furthermore, the design of the Garmin Index BPM is sleek and modern, making it a stylish addition to my home health monitoring setup. The device is compact and lightweight, making it easy to store and transport when needed. Overall, I highly recommend the Garmin Index BPM Smart Blood Pressure Monitor to anyone looking for a reliable, accurate, and easy-to-use device for monitoring their blood pressure at home. It has exceeded my expectations and has become an essential tool in my health routine.

Not accurate in the least

If I could give "0" stars, I would. The device read 20-25 mmHg systolic and 10-15 diastolic higher than a calibrated OMRON 7-Series Upper Arm Cuff and a 7-Series Wrist Monitor. Brought GARMIN Index BPM to my HCP, and the readings were consistently higher than the manual readings. My BP fluctuates throughout the day, based upon, but not limited to, the morning surge. 104-64 to 128-78 is my typical daily range. Garmin Index BMP recorded readings in Stage 1 and Stage 2 hypertension ranges consistently. My Garmin Connect app is connected to my Apple Health app, which is connected to other apps. Inaccurate recording and reporting of BP in health databases could result in the rejection of life-insurance or the designation of a preexisting medical condition to payers and providers. Not a risk anyone should be willing to take. legally, Garmin protects itself with "disclaimers". Those disclaimers protect Garmin and not the user of Garmin Medical Devices. Customer service was abysmal, not unlike customer service from so many companies today. They couldn't care less if they lose you as a customer. Love my Venu 2 Plus fitness tracker and the Index S2 scale. But will not repurchase the Index BPM until they fix the design flaws resulting in inaccurate readings.

BP works but can't get it to work with Garmin App

I really like the BP cuff, both its fit and ease of operation. I can't say the same about getting the device to connect to the Garmin Connect app. I spent way too much time trying every solution I could find. I'm unhappy and am returning the device

It just works!

Not much to say except that this BPM just works as expected and intended. I love my wifi-connected smart products, and this is a nice addition. Syncs nicely with Apple Health as well. Setup was fairly straightforward, EXCEPT adding a second user. If you want to add a second/third/etc. user, do NOT have that person add it as a new device in their Garmin app - you have to “invite” them to the device through the “Manage Users” screen in the primary user's Garmin app. We were pulling our hair out trying to figure this out at first, especially since there is no manual included, just a quick start guide (no objection to less paper and waste, but we did have to go hunting online for the full manual).

Accurate and easy to use

I am in the Garmin eco system already with an Epix watch, Index scale, Edge bike computer, inReach and I was hoping they'd come out with this. Everything syncs automatically via wifi so I can easily check my weight, stress, heart rate and now blood pressure all in one place so I can get a picutre of my health all in one place. And their Connect software is pretty awesome and easy to use as well. Apple what? ;)

Unable to connect a second user

The good: The unit seems well built and accurate. It is nice to have this information in the app, easy to establish a baseline and watch for trends. The bad: I can not connect a second user. This should be possible and the process looks easy. However the second user never gets his/hers results uploaded to Garmin. It appears to be a WiFi upload problem and has caused me to spend way to much time in this. I still have not got it working. So if you buy this to share with someone, expect problems. Maybe unsolvable problems.

Easy and Informative

I was able to connect the cuff to my Connect app with zero problems. It has made taking a series of 3 bp readings every morning effortless, which means I'm much more consistent. Having the data populate automatically in the app eliminates any logging typos or even forgetting to log. Seeing the color coded dots make it easy to track to make sure I'm staying on track. The user-replaceable batteries were a concern, but they seem to be lasting a long time.

I think something's wrong with mine

I hope it's just software and an update can fix it. I always get an "X" when it tries to sync, but the info ends up in my Connect app. I don't have confidence that it is accurate either. The readings often vary huge amounts (between arms; and multiple sequential readings).

Makes monitoring blood pressure easy

The Garmin ecosystem is great once you have a few devices. Between the blood pressure cuff, Index scale, and Fenix watch you track body stats pretty easily and have a comprehensive "at a glance" in the Connect app. This monitor works very well, is simple to setup, and I would highly recommend to anyone.

Not accurate enough for me

Diastolic pressure always reads high by 10 to 15 mm/Hg I have a hospital AMA approved A&D UM212-BLE it has bluetooth but won't work with your app and an Omron AMA approved BP7450 which does not work with your app. I purchased the Garmin BP because it works nicely with your app. However; the expensive hospital grade A&D monitor aligns closely with the Omron monitor. There is a 10 to 15 degree higher deviation in the Garmin BP monitor. So I won't be using it, as high diastolic pressure can be more worrisome than high systolic pressures. It is disappointing the Garmin unit appears to be inaccurate by such a large amount.
