Brilliant design elements distance Garmin ahead

Biggest plus is integration with other Garmin data; additionally, ease of use is a HUGE PLUS because of the brilliant design elements: no cord, wires or tubing; a cuff that needs proper fit/adjustment only once; ease of reading and instant inclusion with other metrics in Garmin Connect.

Good choice, despite some of the bad reviews

I purchased this because I got tired of entering blood pressure readings manually into three different apps now I only have to worry about one. So far I have not had any issues with the taking a bad reading it appears to be very accurate and so far I'm very pleased with it.

Good overall for use.

This replaced another brand that went out of business. It fits and works. The controls for taking a reading are easy to understand and use. Pairing it with an existing Garmin Connect was a significant challenge, this seems to be due to the difference between Bluetooth for setup and Wi-Fi for syncing. This is also not adequately documented and may present an obstacle for new users. The secondary reason for purchase was it's advertised ability to support multiple users, but this configuration, like many other of my Garmin products (and I have several), seems to be that one elusive and impossible feature to configure. The documentation is thin on configuration, almost non-existent, for example it purports to be able to take multiple readings in one session and average the result, and I've not been able to locate or extract any documentation on how to enable this feature. Overall it does what it says, multi-user functionality is a disappointing failure, multi-reading and averaging is also unavailable. I had expected that this would round out a collection of Garmin gadgets but considering the cost of the unit and lack of documentation, other options should be considered before choosing this device. Garmin should focus on documentation, setup and function configuration.

Best yet!

I have owned several BPM's and the Garmin Index is by far and away the best. Easy to setup and pair through Garmin Connect. In addition, graphically tracking your BP on Garmin Connect is an added bonus. Taking your BP is a snap and the Index automatically uploads your results to Garmin Connect.

Added Health Tracking Benefit

I have been a Garmin user for several years now. I wasn't sure about this device at first and did comparisons with another monitor to see how close they were to each other. The readings were consistent. Since I have renewed my efforts to get into better shape and healthier along the way, the Index BPM monitor keeps he on track and honest. Since it ports the information directly into Garmin Connect, I can't really "cheat". Next check up with the doctor will have additional information to share.

Should have bought this years ago

I have been looking at BP monitors for years. Reading all the reviews as well as pros and cons. The Garmin Index kept coming up with positive results so I bought it. The unit is very easy to use. I check my BP daily using the 3 readings that give you an accurate average. Once you set the cuff up for your arm all you really need to do is put it in position and press a button. The unit does all the work. I highly recommend this.

Accurate, Reliable, and Easy to Use

I absolutely love this blood pressure monitor. The readings are consistent and realistic — no random high spikes or unusually low numbers. It truly feels like a medical-grade device you can trust. The connection to my phone is seamless, and syncing data is effortless. I can quickly take a measurement anytime and easily keep track of my trends over time. It's convenient, dependable, and gives me real peace of mind. I highly recommend this product.

One size doesn't fit all

Turns out not all cuffs fit. My reading consistently was 40 points too high. Scared me to death! Then my doctor said that cuff was only good up to 16inches. I'm 19. My pressure was normal. Garmin has nothing bigger. However, they could easily state this prior to the sale and save everyone the trouble.

Reliable, but sometimes you need two try's.

I bought this because I've become fully obsessed with the Garmin ecosystem. The data transferring to the Garmin connect app is awesome and very reliable. I check my blood pressure every morning and I often have to check it two times in a row because the first read is high vs what my normal BP is. Not a problem in my opinion but if it's not situated perfectly on your arm then you can get some weird readings. Overall it's fantastic and I'm glad I purchased it.

Good blood pressure monitor but extremely testy

I've had this blood pressure monitor for a couple weeks now going from a traditional one with a pump tube. For the first entire week I was getting really inaccurate readings. The positioning on this one has to be absolutely perfect, and make sure you're making no movements whatsoever. After I finally got that figured out it went a lot smoother. The top number always seems at least 10 points higher than what it actually is. But I guess that's a worthy trade-off from not having to input my data every single time and having it easily read. I think the only thing I'm truly disappointed with is the amount of time it takes to take my blood pressure. It takes significantly longer than my traditional one. As well as deflating on its own. Am I happy I bought it? Yes, do I wish it was better? Also yes.
