Not accurate at all

first off let me state I love the Garmin line of products. I have several and always recommend them. But this blood pressure monitor is one to stay away from. It has consistently record both systolic and diastolic lovers 10 to 20 points higher every time. Compared to the standard way of taking blood pressure, not once has this monitor come close to being an accurate reading. Highly diappointent with this product.

Somewhat disappointing

I was excited to switch over to a Garmin BPM. I love my Garmin smartwatch, and I like having all my health info in one place. However, I'm having problems getting consistently accurate readings. I'm not sure if it's the stiff cuff? Anyway, I'm still trying to find the exact arm placement to get good readings. I hope I can get it dialed in.

Not accurate

I have had my Garmin BP for a month. It is not remotely close to being accurate. My BP normally is 118/74 (or close). My readings on this BP are 190/ 100. I would need to go to the ED with that number. I did a double check with my older monitor and the reading was much lower. I am going to need to return this unit. I have several other Garmin devices that I really like, so this was a dissapointment.

Nice piece of kit

I like this BP monitor. It connects easily to my garmin app, meaning I dont need to manually log it, seems to be accurate, is small and comfortable to use. First time using one that doesnt have the tube/hose and its very nice. Would recommend if you need to take regular BP readings and use garmin devices.

A good option.

This is a good option for the health conscious person. It can be a little finicky so you have to find the perfect spot but once you find that spot, it should be good. I'd suggest using it on a bare arm (make sure any shirt sleeve isn't constricting or bunching in the armpit area), and getting the cuff good and high, with the bottom of the cuff at least 1-2 finger widths from the crook of the elbow, get it tight but not too tight, and make sure to relax the arm. I've noticed this varies a little from a manual cuff (more systolic than diastolic for some reason) but it's typically in the ballpark, enough to give you a good idea of where you're BP is at. Connection to the app is pretty straightforward and I haven't seen any issues.

Easy to use

I purchased the new index blood pressure monitor with cuff to replace the Garmin blood pressure monitor cuff that I had bought 3 years ago after using it approximately 25 days out of the month for 3 years, I guess the cuff blsdderwore out. I wish it would have lasted a little bit longer. Otherwise , it is a good product and gives me accurate readings

Another great Garmin tool.

I've had the Index blood pressure cuff for about a year, and I appreciate how it has worked either way my Garmin Connect. I would have given it five stars, but every few months it looses its marbles and I have to delete it and reload it and re-pair it to my account.

Great functionality but broke down

I have two of them, but one stopped working after about 6 month. Just would not power up, no indication of any sort. The return / repair procedure is very cumbersome. Other than that it is a great unit and integration with Garmin connect is why I got it in the first place.

Very inaccurate

Bought this for the second time hoping it was more accurate after a year. Turns out it is not. Gave me a 3x reading at 192/94 compared to an average reading with my traditional BP monitor of 135/80 which coincided with my readings at my doctor's office. Heart rate also about 5-10 beats higher than my traditional monitor and my Garmin watch as well. Will continue to test and compare but will most likely return for a Withings. May swap out my Gamin scale for a Withings now as well.

Great BP monitor if you're in the garmin ecosystem

I bought this several weeks ago and have been using it fairly consistently. I previously had a cheap noname brand. It e I like the feature to acquire 3 readings and then average them out, as well as the automatic sync with garmin connect. My only complain is that the arm band fits a little weird on my bicep.
