GREAT AT FIRST
The mattress was prefect at first but has seemed to lose its firmness in the 5 months I've had it. I purchased the medium but feels more like a soft at this point. Has anyone had this issue with theirs? Is the company willing to return the product for a firm in hopes that it will adjust to a Medium or stay firmer? I'm not a heavy person by any measure so the weight is not an issue.

Twin xl is really twin standard
This is the 2nd time I have ordered a members mark twin xl mattress from Sam’s. The first time it was the 12” and this time it’s the 14”. Both times I received a mattress that was twin size not twin xl, contrary to what the box was marked as. I returned the 12” and now I will be returning this 14”. You cannot use a twin size comfortably on an adjustable split king bed or frame. It’s awful having the pillows falling behind the top of mattress all night. This mattress also has very little foam thickness on the springs, it’s only 4” thick on a 14” thick mattress. The mattress doesn’t even expand larger than 13”. I have enclosed photos of this. It’s so bad that the mattress cover is huge compared to the mattress. I enclosed photos of the length measurements along the top of the mattress and along the bottom of the mattress. Customer service states that the length is +-1” well this is 74” on the top and 77” on the spring side. I have 3” of space between the headboard and mattress with the bed set to flat and you can see in the photos that’s with the spring side up which is the longer of the sides, so compared to my husband’s side which is a foam mattress it’s a big difference. I don’t know what the other sizes of this mattress are like but the twin xl is awful. The springs are felt as the night goes on which I say is because of the lack of foam. This 14” also has less coils then then the 12” according to the product information for both mattresses. Save your money folks, this is not the bargain it seems.
We are sorry to hear about your experience with our mattress, Claudette. This will be shared with our product team to make sure they take a look at the current design for improvements. A standard Twin – 39" x 75", and Twin XL – 39" x 80". (= or - 1") The 12" hybrid and the 14" hybrid are both different designs and not comparable. Medium is comfortable but too firm 4 side sleeper
Ordered the "medium" version first. We are going to return it and exchange for the plush. My wife is a side sleeper, and I am a back sleeper. So, we're trying to find the "middle ground" where we're both comfortable. I will update this review (or post a second review) once we get the Plush version in. That said, the bed is comfortable and seems to be well made. We've been on it about a month now, and while we do like it, the medium is just too firm. We're 5'7"/5'10", and ~130-170 lbs. Hoping the Plush version is softer. That said, I called Sam's club service number. They are having someone come pick up the mattress. This is great customer service. In the meantime, I have ordered the plush. I'm hoping for the best, but also I am purchasing confidently because of the great customer service I just received.
Would be five stars if FedEx wasn't the carrier.
The mattress is great. More of a medium firm, but plenty of give and bounce being a hybrid with foam vs latex. Will update if after a few weeks there are any issues. Ships from the same factory as nectar and the other popular hybrid mattresses. FedEx has yet to deliver a single Sam's club order by the original estimated date. Ever. I would like an option to choose a different shipper.
Very soft, in fact too soft
If you buy the Ultra Plush, expect a SUPER SOFT mattress. In fact it is so soft, it feels like it is actually hurting rather than helping since there is virtually no support. We like a plush mattress but this is nuts. When you lie on it, and we are not big people, from the side you can only see 80% of us. Medium firm is probably the best. The other issue is sheets staying on. The cover is incredibly slick and the sheets slip off with ease. You will need a zip-on mattress cover that has some friction to keep the sheets from slipping off the corners. All it takes is getting in the bed and a corner will come off. We have the right sized, deep pocket sheets (from Sams). If your weight is in the 100 to 120 pound range, you may not sink like a rock. An average adult (I weigh 190), I am in a hole. This one is going to being returned.
Hi Greg,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Plush mattress. We’re truly sorry to hear that it didn’t meet your expectations. Comfort is highly subjective, and while some customers love the deep contouring feel of the Plush, we understand it may not be suitable for everyone—especially if you're looking for more support.

Your detailed feedback about the lack of support, sheet slippage, and the sinking feeling is incredibly helpful, and we’ve shared it with our product team. We always aim to match the right mattress to the right sleeper, and it sounds like a Medium Firm option may indeed be a better fit for your preferences and body type.

We're also sorry to hear about the trouble with your sheets staying in place. We’ve seen success with friction-based mattress protectors, just like you suggested, and we’ll consider including that tip in future materials.

We appreciate you giving it a try, and we’re glad you’re making use of our return policy—it’s there for exactly this reason. If you’d like help selecting a model that better suits your needs, our team would be happy to assist.

Warm regards
Members Mark
Ordered King Medium. This was my first hybrid bed in a box. I have had the mattress for 6ish months... i am a side sleeper. Female, 53, 165 pounds and 5'4. At first it was good...but now my hips and lower back are hurting me. BTW I take Aleve at night too. The mattress has nothing wrong with it...no sag or indent. Just not working for side sleeping.
Thanks for sharing your experience, GG, it sounds frustrating to deal with discomfort after initially liking your mattress. Since you're a side sleeper and have been experiencing hip and lower back pain after about six months, even though the mattress shows no visible sagging, it may be the firmness level that puts pressure on your hips. You can try a pillow between your legs for alignment, or you are eligible for a full refund with the Member's Mark 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. LOVE Our New Mattresses!
We bought two twins a couple weeks ago (firm for husband and medium for me) for our king size platform. I really couldn't be happier, and my husband likes his, too. We both slept better immediately. Less tossing and turning from him, and I wake up in the same position I fall asleep in, with no extra stiffness/soreness. My only complaint is that when we measured (twice!), the twin x 2 was the correct size according to the chart, but now that they are here, unwrapped, and inflated, maybe the twin XLs would have fit a little better length-wise? Not a big deal for us, though...the foot of the bed is covered in sheets/blankets anyway, so it's not worth time or effort to exchange over a couple inches...but this is just a heads up for others who have different taste in firmness levels and want to try doing the same. Wait for the occasional $50 off and splurge. I think these mattresses are definitely worth it!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience, Becker! We're thrilled that both you and your husband are sleeping better and enjoying your customized firmness levels—that's exactly what we hope for with our mattresses. It's great to know the firm and medium combo is working so well for you both. We also really appreciate your note about sizing. While two standard twins do match the width of a king, you're right that Twin XLs are typically a better fit lengthwise for most king platforms. Your feedback is super helpful for others considering the same setup.
Good purchase
I was initially reluctant, but I am pleased with my recent purchase. I have had split king purple 4 mattresses for a while now, but I wanted to switch to a single king mattress. I'm a 180 pound male who likes a softer feel mattress, and the plush version suits me perfectly. It's has just the right amount of cushion to keep my shoulders from hurting for when I want to sleep on my side, and just the right amount of support for when I want to sleep on my back. I caught this with a $200 off sale, and I believe the quality for price is definitely worth it. I purchased a 4 Way Stretch Micro-Knit fitted sheet for this and it stretches, stays tight, and stays put. No cons so far.
Thank you for your purchase and your exciting feedback! We are thrilled that you are getting a restful night's sleep, and you can feel the exceptional value in your new Member's Mark Hybrid!
Misleading Advertising, Poor Quality
We purchased this mattress in Decembrr 1st, specifically because Sam’s Club stated it would arrive before we left for a month-long vacation. That turned out to be completely false. When we realized the delivery would be late, we attempted to stop it, but Sam’s Club’s customer service was an absolute nightmare—outsourced to a call center where communication was difficult, and in the end, they were completely useless. No surprise there—Sam’s Club’s delivery service is notoriously bad. Major Sizing & Build Quality Issues When we finally set up the mattress in January, we immediately noticed serious problems. It’s not even a true king size—it’s 3 inches too short and 1.5 inches too narrow. On top of that, the coil springs were sticking out on the ends and sides, making it uncomfortable and even painful to get in and out of bed. It feels like they forgot to add the edge band, making this mattress look and feel cheap and poorly constructed. False Advertising – NOT a Tempur-Pedic Alternative Sam’s Club advertises this mattress as comparable to the Tempur-Pedic Adapt Hybrid ($3,200 retail price)—but that’s completely misleading. My wife and I went to test the real Tempur-Pedic in-store, and there is absolutely no comparison. The Sam’s Club mattress lacks the comfort, support, and durability of a high-quality mattress. It’s just a cheap knockoff designed to trick buyers into thinking they’re getting a premium product. Deceptive Business Claims Even worse, Sam’s Club’s ad claims this company has been in business for 140 years—but in reality, they’ve only been making mattresses for a few years. This is just another marketing gimmick meant to mislead consumers. Final Verdict: A Complete Waste of Money This mattress is low-quality, falsely advertised, and sold at a price that tricks people into thinking it’s high-end. Between the delivery issues, false claims, and poor construction, this has been a frustrating experience from start to finish. If you’re considering buying this mattress from Sam’s Club—DON’T. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and I’m truly sorry to hear about the issues you've experienced with your mattress. That’s definitely not the quality we aim to provide, and I understand how frustrating and disappointing this must be.

The discrepancies in size and the exposed coil springs you described are serious concerns, and we’d like to make this right. Could you please provide your order number and any photos of the mattress showing the sizing or spring issues? This will help us investigate the matter further and offer you the best possible resolution—whether that’s a replacement, or refund.

Again, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We’re committed to ensuring your satisfaction and look forward to resolving this promptly. Please go to the Customer Service at the Club where this was purchased so the team can help you!
Wonderful!!!!
This is our 3rd mattress in 4 months. Finally a winner! I am 130 lbs and no back or other issues. We first purchased the Nectar Premier mattress it was to soft. I had a backache from day 1 that never went away even during the day. Then we purchased a Serta perfect sleeper firm mattress. My back ache went away, but it was very hard. My shoulders hurt sleeping on my side. Absolutely no give at all in that mattress. Decided to take a chance and purchase this Sams Hotel Premier Hybrid medium mattress at Sam’s Club. It’s perfect! It is definitely comparable to a high-end mattress. Very comfortable and supportive without being to soft or firm. It does seem very cool to sleep on which was also important to us. My only negative which is minor to me is it should be 14 inches high but mine measures 13 inches. Hope it holds up for years.
