I love my new life organizer! I bought it for the calendar but I'm loving it even more for the chores and lists. Everyone in the family is enjoying seeing their emoji when they finish their chores. Everyone is taking their medicine on time, the dog is fed, the plants are watered and towels hung up.

I bought this touchscreen to get rid of our paper calendar. navigating the actual user interface should be easier and the touchscreen is just OK. I would not recommend this to friends sadly… Because I had expected to. I also don’t understand what I’m paying for. What is the subscription even cover? Online calendars are on everyone’s phones.

I am very pleased with this purchase. Works well for our family. Kids love checking off their chores when finished. And no more questions about the daily schedule. Wishing for 2 upgrades: *2-Way-Sync with Apple and *Integration with the Nutrislice School Lunch platform.

The list functionality is pretty weak. The meal planning is soft too. It's basically just free form text that I could get from any Notes app. I wanted something that would help categorize and group things automatically like AnyList does. Calendar is okay, but it seems pricey to pay the same price (plus a subscription) to what amounts to a tablet that could be framed, but then be used for other things if the needs change. Calendar integration is okay, but my company email (and I suspect most companies) will not allow a 3rd party to read the meetings.

The idea is great, and it's a beautiful screen. However, I think the software could use some improving. It's a bit clunky. I will say, though, I appreciate that they seem to be perfecting the various features before releasing them to the public. I'd much rather that than have a bunch of buggy features.

I have been eyeing the Skylight calendar for quite some time. After a family scheduling snafoo over the weekend, I bought two to get our family life in order. I am a full time working mom with 3 kids under the age of 6 and married to a physician. As the default parent, I was in need of something to alleviate the pressure of being the only person in the family who knew what was in the schedule. This device is mostly perfect- it integrates different calendars seamlessly, the magic import is awesome, and the ability for non family members (e.g. nanny) to add items to the schedule is elite. One issue with the device is that you cannot have two calendars displaying the same exact information without considerable effort. As a working mom, I need one calendar in my office and one at home that display the same information. At the moment, this is not possible. Secondly, I work on a university campus, and so I cannot log into wifi because it is a user/pw signin. I am still very happy with the device and am hopeful the team will continue to update to improve its usability.

The display is beautiful. However I am not a fan of the calendar app itself. It is difficult to duplicate events to multiple days at the same time. I think this would be a great option if you currently use one of the calendars that it sync with. I tried all the calendars it syncs with and was no impressed on any of them!

Replaced every paper version I was making or writing out myself! I needed something that could fit everyone's schedules but very easy to access and understand, even for my 9 year old. The chore list is great so far for his summer daily routine (not just chores). We are loving the menu, helps tremendously with making the grocery list in the Lists section. (Again, all in one place and the app let's me view the list on the go) Magic Import is FANTASTIC! I can't wait to use that more in the fall when school starts back up. I spend WAY less time filling out my Skylight than making separate calenders and lists. I'm so HAPPY I found this product.

Great device, works nicely. A few things that are critical to making this a long running useful device: 1) Schedule view needs to show the whole day, not just 4 hours. Schedule view is 100% useless only seeing 4 hours. Need to customize # of hours to display similar to # of days is able to be customized. This is a must fix. 2) In Week view, a day box only shows 3 items. This is borderline useless as well as most families have more than 3 things in any given day and having to scroll is ridiculous. If it's a font thing (which is customizable), we need 3 more smaller font options. This is a must fix. 3) need some sort of visual feedback when someone check boxes a chore. It lags for a half second, and then disappears or jumps to the bottom. My kids hit it twice because there is no visual confirmation of touching it, so they inevitably hit the chore that takes its spot. Very annoying. I had a Hearth Display and that was a flaming pile of garbage. The software on that is a year behind Skylight. Skylight is good but if we don't see some usability software updates, it will slowly stop getting used and this company will go bankrupt and our devices will be worth nothing.

We bought this for the ability to share pur calendars in one place. We love, love, love that feature and its ease of use and multiple ways to add events. We Also Love the shopping list feature and also truly enjoy the ability to add photos not only ourselves but have family members send them to our skylight email address!
