We got our calendar a few weeks ago and it’s done a pretty good job of helping to keep things organized. Our kids really like the satisfaction of crossing off their own chores, and it looks really nice. My only issue that I hope gets resolved in the future is the ability to resize more things. You can change the font size, but for example, the weekly view will only show 3 or 4 events per day, so we can’t see all of our events if we have more than that. Similarly, I wish the schedule view showed the entire day instead of zooming in on a few hours. That would my favorite use of the calendar but we can never use it because we can only see what’s currently happening instead of the whole day.

I've only had a couple weeks so hard to give 5 stars quite yet. We did have an issue with setting time zones and it had to be factory reset because the calendar wouldn't go to sleep at the set times I wanted. So far the only "complaint" is that there is no Am/PM chores.

I was hoping for something that would update automatically when I updated my calendar in my phone, but unfortunately that has not been the case. I have had to either go into the Skylight app and manually enter the event there or manually enter the event in the device itself. I use Google Calendar, which is days it’s compatible with. But I am having no luck getting them to update their.

It is a pretty frame and calendar display. However, I have only had the calendar for 2 weeks and have already experienced issues. We lost power and the calendar would not exit the screensaver. It needed to be reset by the support team. I am hoping that every time we lose power, this does not happen. The online support takes forever. The support number is not easy to find via the website either. It also is not fully two way synced with Google. If you add to the skylight calendar, it does not show in Google which is upsetting as I fully use Google and only have skylight for my family to see and use.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my wife and her initial reaction was less than enthusiastic. She called it "unnecessary" and a "waste of money". I talked her into using it for the trial period. We are now 45 days into the trial period and she absolutely loves it. She loves it so much that if it were to break, we would immediately buy a new. We use it daily for the calendar and chore features for the kids. It is simple, easy to update, and clearly allows everyone in our house to know what's going on. I would 100% recommend it for families that are always on the go. It is a complete game changer.

This has been a game changer for us. We now don’t have to try and remember each other’s schedules and list all the things we need to do around the house as chores. The grocery list section is also amazing as one of us can add to it while the other is still out! Such a great tool and every family should have one!

There is no capability to get skylight to feed into my outlook so now I have to maintain two calendars - one for work and one for the family. Without that feature, skylight is pretty much useless for us. Please add this soon or we will need to find a new family calendar!

The website says Skylight syncs with Cozi which is only sort of true. You can’t easily upload all members of the family with one click because then they all get assigned one color. The workaround is you have to individually load each member of the family, which takes quite a bit of time. Then you have to assign them colors as their cozi calendar colors do not sync either. Lastly, when you try to delete a calendar or a category within a calendar Skylight forces you to reassign all of the events listed under that calendar to a different person. This literally defeats the purpose of deleting the calendar and all of its events. The support person told me twice there is absolutely no workaround and in order to delete a calendar you have to reassign the events first.

I think it's pretty amazing. It's super easy to get stuff into the calendar (it has AI that reads emails and even screen shots), it imports automatically any calendar events from your iPhone, the calendar looks really good in the app, the shopping/ to-do lists are easy to manage and you can look/edit on your phone and the kids can input into the screen at the house. I'm a pretty big fan so far.

We had some pretty good systems set up at home already but I was excited to have them digitally, all in one place, and the ability to eliminate having to transcribe my phone calendar to a wall calendar each month. But the functionality of the different skylight components is not a robust as I had expected for the price. A lot of the systems we used at home don’t crossover and are pretty basic on the skylight. If you don’t have any systems in place already, this is a good place to start!
