It's one of those tech products that's great ... almost. In the view we're using you can't see the whole day at once, which my mom finds disorienting. In another view, it puts all the events together at the top instead of distributing them through the day. it's also bright, and the button to turn the screen off and on is hard to find with your fingers / hard to see if you mounted the calendar at face height. We're thinking about putting something in front of it that can be moved out of the way. Frustrating that design foibles like this make the calendar unusable for us (because my mom is so easily confused). For people who don't care about seeing the whole day at once it's probably ok (but maybe frustrating)

It only lets you do chores for 5. We have 6 kids... This creates a problem. It also doesn't keep things in the order you put them in, it mixes everyting up. This creates a problem because my kids have nothing, afternoon and evening chores... It would be nice if they could stay in order. Also you can't edit what you put in only erase and start again. It's nice for everyone to be able to see the calendar but the software needs some work for big families.

I’ve gone back and forth for a really long time on if I should buy it or not. I’m so glad I did! My only regret (with as cliche as it sounds), is not buying it sooner! My family looks at it every day, and my husband has never checked any calendar as often as he does the Skylight. It works for our family!

The skylight is nothing more than a display screen, it would be cheaper to buy a monitor and continuously display your calendar for everyone to see. Also the skylight did not have an auto sleep mode which makes it act as a night light if you forget to press the button the top to put it down.

The only complaint I have is I wish the calendar would always display what day it is, like outlook. As you get further into the month, you have to scroll up to see what day it is. Many times, I have been in a hurry and wanted to check the date, but realized I always have to scroll up to find the bold box around the date. If this update could be made, I would say it’s a 10/10. Overall, it’s a great product and we love having the ability to create a grocery list and add chores to each individual.

This is absolutely a life changing purchase, I was skeptical about adding another “thing” to keep up with, but it’s the exact opposite! Skylight is keeping up with my life schedules, and helping so much! I’m planning on purchasing so many for Christmas as gifts!

Love how it syncs to my calendar and the ability for others to put things in there by inviting the calendar’s email (though really all they have to do is invite mom bc mine is synced). Things I wish were better: 1. You can assign colors to people but when you pull up a new event it always shows you all the many unassigned colors first and you have to keep scrolling to get the ones that are assigned to family members 1b. Likewise, the little dots at the top right next to the settings gear icon are all C C C bc they are unassigned, instead of L and M and G (family members). It should prioritize the ones you’ve assigned in the display 2. The dinner schedule is great except it only gives you the option to repeat an item once a month or once a week, not once every two weeks which is more typical for a meal schedule 3. The dinner schedule shows up as an all day appointment at the top of the day, which makes no sense as it’s something you do at night

Overall I love the device. If I could change a couple of things it would be in the "lists" section. I have used another app in the past for my grocery store list, and it saves me time and energy because it has categories where I can organize my groceries. It makes my grocery experience easier. I would also like to be able to rearrange my "lists" on the display as my needs change.

I absolutely love this calendar and have no idea how our very busy family ever lived without it!! We’ve merged all our calendars and can now see what everyone is doing daily, weekly, and monthly. The only change I’d make is to be able to change colors manually when adding things through Skylight. Otherwise, brilliant!

Does exactly what it says and meets my needs perfectly. It took minutes to set up and has remained well synched with my online calendars. The family is well coordinate now...no one has to ask mom constantly about when practice starts, or when the next game is.
