While I love the concept and the initial experience, I have had a lot of trouble getting my Iphone to sync with my calendar. This defeats the whole purpose of the device, and I am disappointed to have spent so much money for a calendar on my wall that takes so much time and effort.

Works like they say. Easy setup and use. Only down side we have found is that the individual people we have in Cozi don't seem to translate into the same groups in the calendar. A simple mapping from one to the other would be great. Let the user decide how to map and then keep that mapping synced. We manually change each event to show the correct group in the Skylight calendar for now.

While the frame and photo feature are lovely products, we purchased Skylight as a family organization center. We were only interested in the calendar and chore features. After trying the product out for about a month we found the following too challenging to work with: -Chores cannot be added to multiple people at once, so if you are adding the same chore to multiple people you have to submit that same exact entry multiple times -Chores cannot be organized or reordered once they have been entered. There is no option to enter time of day for chores, or to reorder chores, or to assign them for certain times of day. Once entered in the app, the chores for each person appear in a completely randomized order on the frame and must be continuously scrolled through to find the next chore to be completed -Only the app can be used to add items to the frame. The website has no access for this. -You cannot select multiple categories (people) when adding events from the frame. If you want to add an event for multiple people, you would have to create a whole new category for those people. All of these shortcomings were shared with the Skylight team. The response I received noted that the calendar and chore features are brand new to the Skylight offering and that the suggestions would be passed on to the team. Customer service has been great. We simply need a calendar/chore management system that is more developed, intuitive, user-friendly, and optimized for large families.

Love this purchase. No more nagging and a king of the kids have done their chores. It is their responsibility, and I can check everything from my phone. The kids know their schedule and ours. It is so great that they can see the week and activities on the calendar. Now they can plan and be ready for school activities, extra curricular events, and family plans. The pictures are a great bonus. Four kids range from 8-12. I think kids as young as 6 can easily use this, maybe even younger!!

I was very disappointed when I discovered after my purchase that it will not let me add to our skylight calendar and it updated in our apple calendar on phones and computers. I called customer service and was told it was in the works to add 2 way syncing with apple calendars but it is not done yet. I will wait and see. Other wise it is a great calendar. Easy to use and type on.

We’ve only had the calendar for a little over a week in our new home but it has already been super helpful in organizing our work schedules, household to-do lists and we’re looking forward to using the grocery list function. It was super easy to set up on our phones and mount on our wall.

Overall the calendar had been great and helpful. I have noticed that after 2 weeks the device has started to lag a lot and take awhile to refresh. I have started shutting it down every couple of days in addition to it sleeping every night and it hasn’t seemed to help

Overall nice design and features. One important negative to improve on is the loading speed of the screen when changing months. It takes an average of 6-7 seconds to display the data after scrolling to the next month. This means that to see the actual data after clicking 6 months into the future takes around 30 seconds or longer sometimes! This loading time has to be improved with updates in the future. I suggest adding a ‘jump to month’ feature as well to select a specific month in the future without having to scroll through every month in between to get there. Lastly, I expected to be able to swipe up or to the right to change months also. it was a negative realization to require to click on the very small arrow at the top of the screen to advance to a future month. Oh, one more thing is that I don’t like that when you make an update to an event in a future month that once complete, the screen defaults back to the current month. I really want to see that event I just created appear in that month right away and not have scroll forward again to get to the month of the new event to confirm it’s there and correct (see first note about about SLOW page loading times!).

We have 3 kids in a lot of activities and this calendar does exactly what we need it to. I also add our planned meals, chores for the kids, and grocery lists. I like having it displayed in the kitchen where everyone goes frequently and also having the app on our phones is great. Sometimes added items disappear or there are glitches so it isn’t perfect but you’ll have those issues with electronics always. We are very happy with the purchase!

I used a white board for years and wrote out our week every Sunday so the whole family knew what we were doing. I love having this on our kitchen counter instead! It’s truly the best! I love that it works with our Cozi app too because we love that as well and did not have to give that up. Our days displayed so we can see what’s happening each week is the best! ❤️
