i purchased this TV thinking i was getting a good deal. i was wrong. from the night we plugged it up, it didnt work right. after about an hour of watching TV it shuts off into a loud static blur or just a black empty screen. when u went to pick up this TV from the store, the employee that brought it to me knocked it over on its side. it fell over pretty hard. he picked it up and acted as if that was normal. so im sure they handle all of their tvs this way. dont buy unless you want a piece of junk that doesnt work.

Pass on this tv

Don't bother. The cheap price is the only perk of this tv. The interface is not user friendly. If you have cable have fun switching between multiple screens. If you need an app not provided, you're also out of luck. For example, sling is not available. You cannot delete apps that you aren't using, nor can you change the aspect ratio, and the picture quality is meh at best. I've played with all the settings and I still have a bright line down the left and right sides. If any tv will do, go for it. If function and quality matters pass on it. One thing is for sure, I will never buy another Vizio. Pretty disappointing and underwhelmed.

This TV uses our SmartCast Platform which offers a host of built in apps, as well as support for Google Chromecast, Apple AirPlay 2, and voice support for SIRI, Google Home, and Alexa. You are not able to manually download additional apps, however new apps are added to the platform often. If you find there is an app you want to watch that is not on SmartCast you may be able to cast it using Chromecast or Apple AirPlay from your phone or mobile device. Aspect Ratio can be accessed by going to Menu > Picture > Aspect Ratio. Sometimes the aspect ratio is also controlled by the device you are watching your content on, such as a cable box. In that case you might need to adjust the settings on your cable box as well. Applications typically also control the aspect ratios for the content they host and offer. There could be a few things that cause lag or apps to not respond correctly, and I would like to learn more so we can assist with troubleshooting. Sound-Bar outputs didn't work - Arrrgggh!

None of the Sound outputs (for connecting to a SoundBar) worked. Checked and Triple-Checked multiple cabling options (Aux, HDMI-ARC, and Optical) - none of them worked. Even did factory reset and verified my soundbar from a different TV (i.e. Sanity-Check).

The quality and 4K UHD screen is game-changing - plus loading up shows/movies on the Apple TV, I was notified I could enable a Dolby feature and words alone cannot describe just how amazing of a TV set this is. If you are considering, I would highly recommend a wall mount because it's making it more enjoyable to watch TV and movies on here than even going to the movie theater. Excellent TV.

We purchased this tv as a Christmas gift for ourselves. We've owned numerous Vizio's over the past 14 years. We were looking at upgrading from a 50" tv to a 65" tv. We went with the 70" Vizio due to it was the best bargin price wise. Vizio comes with numerous pre installed apps. The only reason we give Vizio 4 stars is because you must purchase either an Amazon fire stick, Nvidia shield, Roku box, ect. to be able to download and use additional apps that aren't pre installed.

No voice remote received. Heavy buffering.

Just got it home and set it up. Does NOT come with a voice remote. There are no voice options on the remote and that was one of the big reasons we picked this TV. Ad is wrong. Not surprised, this is the third item I bought from Walmart in a week that was incorrectly advertised. Picture is decent but there is a lot of freezing and buffering. Hopefully that will get better when we get faster internet next week because audio is not matching picture.

Hello Chowdah17, your TV model being a V705x-J03 is absolutely capable of displaying a 4K resolution picture. The TV will always display the highest resolution possible. It depends on your source device (DVD player, cable box, streaming device), content recording (TV show or movies), and finally your connection quality when streaming, to determine the resolution that TV will be able to display. A good way to see the full capabilities of the TV would be to search for "4K HDR" in the YouTube app. As long as your network connection is able to support speeds needed for 4K HDR content and your YouTube video settings are set to allow 4k playback, there are some amazing looking videos. Base measurement is wrong

The TV is fine but the dimensions of the legs of the base are wrong. The base is actually wider than the TV Specs state. I still haven't decided on keeping it and wall mounting or getting a new stand or returning it and getting something that will fit my stand.
