Went in to get a store brand Hybrid King, and ended buying a Tempur-Adapt Hybrid, I'm 76 and she is 85, I use to wake up with back pain and sleep four to five hours per night, it took a while to get use to it, but I am sleeping seven hours of a good sound sleep, My wife Love's it, she looks forward going to bed early and reading.

My husband was reluctant to spend more than $500-$950 for a mattress that one needs to replace every 10 years, if not before. With our Tempurpedic's warranty, and the amazing sleep comfort, he's among your greatest fans! I needed 2-3 days to adjust To our new mattress and now I'm enjoying comfy, sound sleep.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We upgraded our original Tempur-pedic to a split king with adjustable base. The original mattress was firm and molded to form as we slept. This is a little soft. Still better than a traditional Mattress.

We purchased the split King Adapt Medium & LOVE IT!!!!!!! Also purchased the adjustable frames, great for watching late night TV Should've purchased this 5 yrs ago Only slight problem adjusting to the cooling mattress, but after a few short nights, wouldn't trade it for anything. Am sure we'll appreciate it even more when summer comes, Las Vegas Summers are hot. Love the pillows as well & the underneath light, great for those middle of the night trips to the bathroom. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok now that I've got your attention. This mattress is the first expensive purchase I've had in over 15 years, and it's worth it. Sleep and recovery from our days is what makes this worth the price, sure there are less expensive beds but not with these quality materials.

I've had my mattress for two years, and it's already noticeably worn in and has gotten too soft to properly support me in the correct alignment. The warranty will not cover this, as there is no visible indent and they claim this type of change doesn't affect the pressure-relieving properties. All I can say is, it does if you're heavy! Would not recommend tempur-pedic if you are heavier, at this point. It's a shame because they used to be very high quality.

As others said on the floor it felt fine. I was looking for a replacement for the original Tempurpedic, which my wife and i loved. TP sales crew could not tell me which one would be closest match so we went with this in medium. It is awful. Terrible. Doesn't feel anything like what I knew and loved about TP. We both wake up in pain. Back and neck pain. Unfortunately when I bought the "upgrade" on a warranty return I didn't read everything. Their is no comfort guarantee. Only discomfort guaranteed. Also no sheets fit properly, especially waterproof covers, even theirs. They know this and told me to not use a cover or buy from another vendor.

This mattress was recommended by a friend because we have similar back problems. I have been sleeping on my mattress for a few weeks. It is the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on. More importantly, I have not experienced any back pain upon waking, as I had with my prior mattress. I highly recommend Tempur-Adapt Medium for anyone that has back problems. It has been a life-saver for me.

However, it is a huge improvement over the box spring mattress that I had. I think that the nonhybrid would have been better for us because we each weigh less than 200 lbs and it would be softer. If you are going to get this only get the mattress because if you don't like it you can always return it and not incur the extra expense of a non-returnable platform. If you like the mattress you can always get the platform later. Overall, its the best mattress I have owned so far.

1. We were super hesitant to spend this much money on a bed. 2. Wasn't 100% sold that it would be worth the money 3. Split King made me wonder if the gaps between my bed and my fiancé's bed would bother me 4. Was concerned the hybrid would be too firm 5. Did i mention the price? 6. couldn't tell if i was sold on the hype or if this really was a good bed. Turns out... 1. you get over it once you realize how much time you spend in a bed and how much a poor nights sleep ruins your day 2. Trust me it's worth it 3. It does sometimes but im in too deep of a slumber to care lol 4. Not at all, for me a soft was too extreme and i went back and forth on this for weeks. the bed gets softer overtime so a hybrid turned out to be perfect 5. If you can finance do it, we pay more than the minimum each month so it's not bad and it's interest free 6. this really is a good bed. I had mild back pain, acid reflux, and another health thing going on and this bed has helped FAR MORE than what i thought was possible for something as simple as a mattress. I felt the benefits immediately (mind you our old bed came from bedrock) but even still it took me no time to fall asleep. my fiancé had the medium (definitely on the firmer side so i do not venture over there lol) and he loves it. Now my cons: 1. Fitted sheets do not stay on this bed and it's the most annoying thing in the world. Buy sheet hooks, you'll thank me later. 2. If i was being super picky, i wish the base was more quiet. hearing my fiancé move his side at night when i'm trying to sleep is annoying 3. the mattress has a tendency to slide on the base. not a whole lot but i am giving it the occasional bump in the morning. Notice how these are mediocre cons? Buy the bed!lol
