You do sink a little when you lay on it but just the right amount to keep everything in line. Have yet to throw my back out from sleeping on it. Paired with a power base and it is the best sleep I've had in years.

I KNOW my purchase was more than your average boxed mattress. But I sleep sound, less pain and confident that my mattress is going to last! Our last purchase was over 20 years ago! It's the right firmness for comfort. I have trouble staying asleep at night but since about two weeks into sleeping on this mattress, my rem and deep sleep have been better. It has even helped my husband with his snoring. My hands do not fall asleep anymore either. I'm up very early in the morning to go to the gym, and the stillness of the mattress doesn't wake my husband. Nor does it wake me when he comes to bed late at night. We got a cover for the mattress for under the sheets and it's helped prevent the cats from scratching. They seem to like it as well, and have not been tempted to scratch it.

I waited this long to give my honest review and we are so glad we invested on our well being. We were both suffering from backaches and shoulder pains in the morning from our 3 year old soft pillow top. And now with our tempurpedic we suffer no more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are expensive mattresses, no question. But I cannot stress enough that it is worth the investment. Your body will literally thank you. Years of back pain, waking up with sore shoulders, neck, stiff joints... ok well I still get a little of that but it's at minimum a 70% improvement and I've had the bed for a week. If that's not miraculous I don't know what is. Buy and hold on. Best sleep I've gotten in a decade. Easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the fourth temperpedic bed I've purchased and I'm frustrated by how much motion isn't obsorbed. When my partner moved, I feel it. Which is exactly why I had purchased in the first place -- so I wouldn't be woken up.

When you purchase the mattress it says it is Medium Firm. This is not firm AT ALL. I might exchange for the next firmest model. I was trying to not spend a ton, thinking this would be middle of the road like my last one from 12 years ago...definitely not the case. I'm disappointed but I know I can exchange it, still a pain though. If you like a soft mattress then you would enjoy this. I need a little firmer.
