I actually bought this to keep my Kamado Joe under it. I did not install the back-facing shelf to give me more room. it's a good size, wasn't horrible to assemble and looks good. Had a boring bee drill a hole in it already but that's not he fault of the bar :).

The boxes are enormous and heavy. Definitely not a 1 person job. So I got a few friends and started neatly arranging the pieces in order as the instructions stated. At the bottom of the second box I found one of the 4x4 posts was smashed. Like not with a forklift at Sam's—like in the warehouse when it was packed. I called the manufacturer and they said they'd ship it overnight. This thing is like so huge and consuming my deck right now so not ideal to have it disassembled and in the weather. They said they'd overnight it so I just dismissed my crew and accepted it'll be here later in the week to try again. I called today to see where the tracking number was at and they said it didn't ship—THEY HAVE TO MANUFACTURE THE PART! No ETA. Oh my… awful communication. This large of an item it's a whole ordeal to store and assemble an item like this. And to not have a good system and communicate properly is a miss. Lesson learned: don't trust the manufacturer as they prefer—just take it to the club as there's no timely solution otherwise.

This is the Best Backyard Bar for anybody. The price is spot on and it’s easy to assemble. It was perfect for what we were looking for. I’m extremely happy with the purchase.

Wish you could get a bar top for one of the sides for more seating. Checked with the company and was told they don't make this option. Would be a great addition.

It was pretty easy build overall. My 22 year old was able to put it together by himself, although he did need a second person to help mount the top piece.

The foundation is perfect! Very sturdy! Did require two people to put together. The only issue is rain gets through the back panels. Currently looking for a plexiglass to place on the back exterior wall. Any suggestions???

So impressed with the quality of the Backyard Discovery kits. The bar kit is the third style we’ve put on our property. And the easiest to assemble per husband. But he does have the assembly routine down pretty well. All styles, pergola, gazebo and bar have withstood our Northern Arizona winds, monsoon rains and winter snows without an issue. Two we have applied an oil base sealer but decided to see how bar weathers naturally. Just picked up our fourth kit (XL Grill Gazebo) to serve as a cover for grill and smoker in summer and store fire wood under during winter. Obviously we’ve decided the Backyard Discovery Kits are well worth the monetary and labor investment.

We finished putting this together yesterday. This bar looks even better than the picture. We purchased this for a new patio we just put in the side yard. It fits there beautifully, and really adds to the feel of the space. We look forward to years of enjoyment. I was impressed with the quality of the materials as well.
