Battery life is great! Has better features than the Apple Watch. I took away one star because I can’t get the watch to play music (even though I downloaded the app, tried multiple attempts to get it to work). Everything else is great! Love the running app and walking app.

I have lost count of how many Garmin watches I have gotten over the years, but this is by far my favorite. I started getting Garmin because other activity watches available at the time didn't have anything waterproof and I need something so I could monitor my heart rate while I swam laps, I stay with it because of the app.Everytime I need to upgrade, I am excited by the newer features.

The watch performs well for the price point. The heart rate is within 1-3 bpm on average and the sleep score is very close as well. The display is vibrant and easy to read, although some apps are cut off on the edges as they were designed for larger watches in mind, but scaled back to work for this model. Where the watch lacks though is the distance algorithm for non gps runs. Sometimes it is dead on, other times, like on an indoor track, it will jump around from a 25 minute mile, to a 4 minute mile randomly. The watch display is great, but the physical glass is soft. I have multiple scratches on it after a few months of daily use. Not a big deal for me, but for those who would be bothered by it, I'm sure it's a deal breaker. Tldr; solid watch that performs well 80% of the time; build quality is lacking and a screen protector is recommended.

The Viviactive 5 is a great replacement device for my Apple Watch. I have had 2 Apple Watches and was a little hesitant to switch but so far I am happy with the product. Although the fitness features are a little off on some things I am happy with the change.

I received this as a Mother’s Day gift since I am super active and my Apple Watch was dying before the end of the day. I’m able to go almost a full week on one full battery charge. So I’m able to track my sleep and daily activity at ease. I love the breakdown information garmin gives about my workouts. It’s definitely worth every penny.

I really like a lot about the watch, although I've had it for two months now and want to upgrade. Most of the features work pretty well, however when I work out and sweat the heart rate recorder doesn't work at all which is frustrating. As well as it disconnects from my phone at least 3 times a week and I have to reconnect which is irritating. Overall I'd rate the watch 3/5 stars, definitely a beginner watch. Great if you just want to record steps but wouldn't get it for working out.

After several years of wearing Apple watches I made the switch to Garmin. I was having issues with my Apple watch battery, so decided to try Garmin. I really like all of the activity features except that it doesn't track the kick board portion of my 2K swims which is frustrating. I also don't love that I can't see the time on the watch face while I'm working out. Other than that, I'm loving my Garmin.

VIVIO5: I loved my Vivioactive4 & am totally frustrated with my new Vivioactive5. My old watch was intuitive & easy to use for my favorite sports & keeping health data. I guess these functions are in there somewhere in my new watch, but obviously not front & center. Are there reconditioned Vivioactive4 watches available yet? I’m 77 & don’t have a degree in technology,

I bought this to replace my fitbit and overall nice watch but the calories burned is way to high and I haven't been able to get that fixed. I don't expect accuracy but if we're burning that much energy I would be dead. Fitbit Sense is better for calories burned, tracking what you eat, and sleep tracking. Money spent and lesson learned. Should have stuck with what worked.

This is my 3rd garmin watch. I was happy with it. I replaced it with a vivo active 3 that I was never happy with (battery life way too short). This one I am very happy with. It has all of the activity features that my others had plus some useful and interesting health features. Very happy that I made the purchase.
