So far so good

After months of researching which brand of fitness tracker was right for me, I finally decided on Garmin. I wanted a device that was user friendly and informative in regards to my activity. The Vivoactive 5 was reasonably priced and had the features I was looking for. The battery life lasts for 4 to 5 days depending on usage which is ideal.

disappointed

I got this watch for Christmas and have had nothing but problems with it. I can't get it to register my steps,, trying to get to the activities is lucky. Sometimes it come up other times it doesn't. I have the vioactive 3 and have never had a problem with it. In fact I am returning it today.

An Unobtrusive Physical Trainer

My wife bought the Garmin-vivioactive 5 watch for Christmas. I like the multiple health tracking features. I also use My Net Diary calorie counter, and the two integrate seamlessly. The battery charge is long lasting, and charges quickly. I can have 100% charge in the time that it takes me to complete my morning devotional. Like a personal trainer, the watch pushes me to better my steps each day. I have lost the six pounds gained during holiday food frolicking. The sleep tracker is impressive, and gives me pointers how to get better rest. This smart watch is solid and informative.

Good but not great

I got this for Christmas and have been using it every day. It's very good for workouts and tracking heart rate and steps. But I don't think it tracks sleep well. Also the screen now has a cracked in it and I have not dropped it or damaged it. I would probably not get this model again

Easy to use

Had it a while, but just got into using it. LOVE the amoled display. . so clear. Love the Manual is easy to understand. It does everything I need it to do and more. I really appreciated the out of warranty exchange program. Garmin products and customer service are second to none.

Some Feedback

Where is the serial number? After I'm done running and press the A button to stop and save my data, it doesn't recognize that I pressed the button. How do I fix it? Also, it takes a long time to get the GPS signal. My very old Vivo watch was much faster. How do I fix it?

Love it !!

I’ve had this watch for about a month now. I used to have an Apple Watch and I can confirm that this watch has been at lot more beneficial than my Apple Watch. The only down fall is that it irritates the crap out of my skin. I’ve tried switching to nylon bands but the physical watch is also a problem. I will update to 5 stars if I can find a solution (‘:

Made the switch and don’t regret a thing

I bought the watch last month and I have to say that coming from an Apple Watch this watch is amazing from the active sleep tracking to the opportunity to track so much my workouts plus my water intake is an amazing feature. I really love the Golf app as well and that was the main reason for getting the watch as I actively golf. Only thing is that this is not a smart watch so I can not respond to texts or emails through the watch but in a way it helps me discount at the end of the day and not be tied down to technology Do not hesitate to get this watch

Sleek!

I’ve had smart watches for a few years and my last one was at the point that I needed to upgrade for something new. I decided to try out Garmin as a few friends have recommended it and have said great things about it. I absolutely agree with what they said. Sleek design, no overwhelming notifications, you can still change the bands to make it more you. It’s super light weight. The battery lasts so long is so great! I use it all day every day and battery is still going since day one. I also love the activity feature where you can plan workouts and it also has challenges for the month that makes you keep up with your fitness.

great apps low quality

As a novice looking for a versatile smartwatch to support training, I chose the Garmin Vivoactive 5, largely due to the range of apps available. The variety of training features makes it accessible and adaptable for beginners, with plenty of options to support different fitness goals. However, the device's overall quality is not up to Garmin’s usual standards. The materials used for the Vivoactive 5 feel disappointingly cheap. The casing has a thin plastic feel, and the buttons don’t inspire confidence—they feel flimsy and give the impression they might not last. Given Garmin’s strong reputation for durability and high-quality builds, it’s surprising to see this apparent compromise on materials and construction. It's disappointing to see a respected brand like Garmin potentially sacrificing quality to appeal to a wider market. While the Vivoactive 5 has solid training features, the lack of durability may be a concern for those seeking a lasting investment.
