I decided to make the switch this year from a different smart watch to a Garmin. Garmin had many more tracking features for sleep, body and sports. My old watch did have sleep trackers, but by the time I was ready for bed, the watch itself would have a dead battery. My Garmin can last me up to a week and a half on one full charge, and charges to full really quickly. I love this watch, and all of the extra features (and being able to customize the face exactly how I want it) have made it the best watch for me. Would buy again, would DEFINITELY recommend.

I bought this a month ago as I was getting tired of my apple watch and the battery hold and appearance. I wanted something that looked better and was light weight. While I am still trying to figure certain features out with this watch, I do like it over the apple watch. The long battery life and design is appealing. I am still trying to find the right face as the one I like will only display time and date and not other options, so being able to add more would be great. I have been recommending this to all my friends.

it's probably the most accurate pedometer and calorie tracker I've used. also for being as low profile and almost fragile looking as it is I've taken it with me on lake trips, the range, and used it in other hard use situations where it has survived some interesting dings and bangs. for someone looking for a inexpensive smart watch to take more of their health into there hands it is great.

I am coming from a fitbit - I like this it has more on watch features but I do wish it had a microphone so I could ask alexa to do things around the house and respond to texts. I love how the watch looks and feels I did get a new band for it though. Overall it takes some getting used to after using fitbit but I like it!

I bought this to replace my Vivoactive HR, which I had had for over 9 years. I did my web research and was repeatedly told that the Vivoactive 5 was the best replacement. But after a week of using the watch, I realised it was not even close. I am not a runner, I do more hiking, mixed sports, kayaking, and climbing. The features I love about the Vivoactive HR are completely missing from the 5. No stair sensor, no altimeter, and no calorie tracker. Multiple websites, including the Garmin website, did not provide this information. Oddly enough, it took a long conversation with ChatGPT to work out how to actually compare old Garmin watches and new ones to get the complete comparison of watches. At the moment, I am using the 5, but as soon as I can find a replacement that has all the features, compactness, small face, and battery life of the Vivoactive HR, this 5 is going up on Marketplace for sale.

The watch is comfortable to wear. It has enough free faces to pick from that I can read with out my glasses. After a full change over seven days ago I still have 47 percent battery left. The colors are bright and clear. It is responsive to touch and when you turn your wrist to veiw. The band is easy to put on and the extra flap stays down. It seems to count steps and sleep pretty accurately. It can do way more than I will use. I like the watch better than both my fitbits. The app is okay maybe I haven't figured out all it can do yet because I USED to like the fitbit app better until Google took it over. Definitely a great watch for people who want to use the basics plus. I can't say if it's great for you serious health nuts or not.

My old Vivoactive HR broke down and it was time to upgrade. I bought the Vivoactive 5 even though there is a newer version since it was less expensive. The Vivoactive 5 connects to my phone immediately where the HR model took a while to connect after a run or workout. The display is bright and colorful and there are many options for the watch face. The only change I would like to make it to have the time of day on the workout option. Maybe there is a way to add this but I haven't figured it out yet. This model does so much that I can't imagine the Vivoactive 6 having even more features. I'm sure it does but the 5 has plenty of features for me.

User interface is not intuitive. Many steps to set up- like two hours to get things dialed in including four different resets. I bought two - one for my wife and one for me. After the amount of time I put into mine I returned my wife's unopened to the store. Figured I would struggle through for a few days, but now the watch face is static, even though there are multiple faces available. Found out in forums this is a known problem to Garmin. They old UI was pretty good from what I've read, but they moved a lot of functionality out of the app and onto the watch face (workout routine set up, tracking, watch faces, etc.) and this has been a disaster. I've got a third email into Garmin now, but will likely return this last one today and just be done with it. I hope others have better luck.

Switched from FitBit and could not be happier. Love the features, the battery life. Very pleased with the recommendation to switch off features to extend the battery life. The silicone band I have reactions to so had to switch out band. The one thing I would recommend that I cannot find is when charging and I have gotten my steps in I am not able to add them to the day like I was with the other, I would really like to be able to add the steps in when charging or the workout in when charging but it does not let you load it into the day. I am so hopeful for this model and wanted it for a long time. Early birthdday present and so far loving it going to go ahead and subscribe for 1 year and test this out. Really like it, still figuring it all out. But so far so good. 58 year old female user.

I absolutely love it! I went from having an Apple Watch that the battery didn’t last past 8hrs to this. I am a very active person and never took it off not even to sleep and the battery lasts 6 days! If you’re thinking about it do it! If you have an Apple Watch it’s definitely a learning curve to learn how to track workouts and sleep but it’s worth every penny.
