We purchased our gazebo just over a year ago. The prices were a bit higher than the neighborhood big box stores but we thought we would probably get better customer service and a better product. We were right! Our delivery came the day it stated on our order. I got nervous I got the day wrong because they came at the tail end of our time slot but the customer reps were so patient and understanding. The next day…we started. It took my husband about 2 full days and about two to three extra people to help with certain areas of it such as the roof and the attachment of the sides. But other than that he did it all on his own. Directions were clear and each piece was cut and planned out to match the plans. Since it has been up, anyone who comes over has nothing but amazing things to say about it. They comment on the sturdiness and quality of it. The classy look of it. The overall HUGE upgrade it has been to our house and backyard. We are in absolute love with this gazebo. Thank you Backyard Discovery! We are very happy customers.

I finally decided to purchase. After a few delays with assembly the crew finally came and assembled and they were very friendly. I had to add some southern personal touch to make it my own. Assembly crew will not anchor for you so that is up to you. Thanks to some friends and family my outside oasis is complete and a very reasonable price.

This gazebo is very sturdy HOWEVER it will definatley take more than 2 people to construct. The roof panels are very heavy to raise above your head. The bolts are very difficult to thread and get lined up. We ended up switching to carriage bolts and painting them black. Wish we would have done that from the beginning. It would have saved a lot of time.

We purchased and built this gazebo last summer and couldn't be happier. All the pieces arrived as scheduled and undamaged. I built the gazebo primarily by myself and only needed a couple extra hands when putting up the 2 roof sections. It held the heavy snow load over the winter and the gazebo looks as good as it did a year ago when I put it up. I would highly recommend this product and we couldn't be happier with our purchase.

My mom had this shipped to her house. It comes in 5 very heavy boxes! I’m glad we did not have to pick it up at the store. The delivery company was good and kept us informed by email when they would be delivering it. We originally planned to put this together by ourselves. However, I read all the reviews and chickened out! I’m so glad we didn’t attempt this. There was no way we could have done this. There is a phone number on the box from “Go Configure” so my mom decided to pay for assembly. It was only $400, compared to the $500 price tag that showed if you ordered install at the same time as she ordered the gazebo. Today the 2 installers came to the house. Ladies and gentleman, they completed this install in 2.5 hours!!!! It is beautiful! I highly recommend you bite the bullet and pay for install. I think if my husband and I would have attempted it, we would have ended up killing each other!!! (Not to mention it would have taken up a week to put up!) Love this!!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a beautiful gazebo and looks great out on the concrete pad we had poured. Well built structure and we had this assembled by the contractor who poured the pad. Although it came with an electric hookup I wired the gazebo and included additional plug receptacles and USB ports for outside use. The kit does come with a link for building the structure and a nice instruction manual and 800 number for any questions. We are very pleased with this structure and it was worth the cost and fits our needs. It is solid, has protection on the footings but you will have to purchase anchors for the feet of you plan to secure it to a concrete pad, which isn’t a big deal. Some helpful tips - the roof section or ladder piece will require two people to push it up into place and one man up on a ladder to secure it into position. The metal roof pieces come with a plastic protective film, so keep this box cool and out if the sun so that the plastic doesn’t bake onto the metal surface. Electric - the electric is basically a plug & use system. In other words, if you do not have an outlet nearby you will need to run an extension cord to the gazebo and plug it in to the wiring that is provided with the kit. I opted to run electric underground through half inch conduit to power the lights and receptacles that I installed. The lower portion of the support columns on the gazebo are hollow. This will allow you to run the conduit up into the leg and conceal it completely. You will have to drill an access hole for a receptacle. The columns are at least 2 inches thick and there is a built-in solid portion at the top for the structural integrity of the gazebo. This is a beautiful gazebo, structurally sound and you won’t be disappointed by purchasing it!

We bought this 7 months ago and it is exactly what we were looking for. It is very well made and beautiful. Customer service and delivery were so easy. We had one cracked pillar and backyard discovery sent us a new one very quickly. With the BILT app from the App Store, my husband and I were able to put the gazebo together with the help of two people to put the four pillars up as well as to put the roof pieces on. We also had our landscaper dig the footers and then my husband was able to drill to secure the pillars in the ground. We are very happy with this gazebo.

Just got finished with build. have a few odds and ends left, but it went great. Definitely a 2 or even 3 person job, but all hardware and mounting holes were spot on. We got it done in a full day but probably better to do it in two. Would highly recommend

The wife and I put this together. It was amazing how precise the pieces fit together and how the holes all lined up. All the pieces were there and fasteners too. For the most part, pretty simple but you will have you some muscles as you erect the frame and put the roof on.

I bought mine in October 2019 and put it up myself in November. While it take some time and a lot of work I enjoyed the task and it works perfectly. We move the ability to have electricity in the evenings. Plan on buying another for vacation home when back in stock.
