Wife got horrible stomach problems. Diarrhea and stomach pain for two weeks. Me for a day and her friend she made a sandwich for also got sick. Was well within the date best we can see is the preservatives are very harsh on this. Steer clear

I learned about this chicken salad at a friend's party. We all thought it was homemade and when she said it came from Sam's Club, we were shocked. This salad is awesome. It has chunks of white meat and a delightful taste. It has a bit more mayo then I would use if making chicken salad from scratch but it tastes so good, I don't mind the extra mayo. Whenever we buy a container, it only last a day or so in my house. I can't believe there are reviewers who don't like it but clearly there are more positive than negative reviews. All I can say is to each his own, and my own likes!

I have purchased this product for over 10 years and probably at least 100 tubs. It is a excellent chicken salad and I have never had a bad one. Everyone should always look at the dates before purchasing any perishable product as every Sams goes through different quantities. I don't know where people are saying this is sweet unless they got a bad batch because I never have.

Remember the tubs of salad in the old days? Now the shrinkflation has delivered the perfect portion that will last at the just the right amount. Delicious too. Discovered this from a dear old lady providing samples at the Club. The poor man's club, I discovered from the old MN governor, who enlightened us that we were the masses and not the country club, which was devastating, as I never thought I was poor till he said so.

I don't typically write online reviews, but I had to comment on this particular product because I had such a positive experience with it at a recent party I hosted. Many guests assumed it was homemade when in reality I simply used a decorative serving dish and some paprika on top. Great flavor and texture, not too chunky or smooth. My only criticism would be that at the price point, I would hope to get a larger container. Otherwise, I have no complaints.

I have purchased this several times before. I had a bridal shower yesterday and used this chicken salad. One person told me that it was grisly. I don’t have any until today and it has some kind of stringy stuff and is grisly as well. I will eat anymore.

I used to buy the chicken salad on a regular basis for my husbands lunch. Never again! The last three times we've had it there's been gristle in every bite. It's just gross. I thought maybe it was a flook, so I gave it a couple more chances. Apparently, the quality has gone downhill that much. That price is still the same though.

I LOVE this chicken salad. I have purchased it several times and it is always consistent. We like the big chunks of real chicken. I have never had any bites of gristle - always fresh ingredients. This is so versatile... On a salad plate with cottage cheese, in a croissant or bread or cracker, as a meal or a snack. Yummmmm

I don't generally offer opinions about food items because what tastes good to one person doesn't necessarily taste good to another. Having said that, I picked this item up one afternoon partly on a whim and partly because I was too lazy to prepare anything for dinner that evening. I was hooked. It's just the right amount of flavor but if not enough, you can add a small amount of whatever ingredients you like (maybe a little ranch dressing or spicy mustard). With our without embellishments, this is a good product. Plenty of quality pieces of chicken. There are a lot of onions so if you don't like onions, this may not be to your liking. My only complaint is the size of the packaging. I would strongly recommend they increase the size of the container or lower the price by at least $2.00. I, for one, would purchase more of this product if the price were lower.

Our family has been buying the product for a long time and for some reason have noticed a lot less of the chicken chunks inside the 32oz. containers. We gave it another try but still got the same "reduced" quality. Same pleasant taste but the ratio of chicken to mayo, celery, and bread crumbs has come disappointedly sooooo low. Sam's club needs to check this with the food company supplying them - The Suter Company, as the quality of the products you represent greatly affects your integrity. Hope Sam's Club gets to the bottom of this.
