Non-stick coating is coming off the tops
I received this set on November 5, 2022, and I absolutely loved the set. I used the 3 Qt pot at least 5 days a week. This is February 20, 2023, and the non-stick coating on the tops is coming off. At this point, I am afraid to cook with set because I don't want that non-stick coating (the lead) to fall into my food and my families eating some of that coating. Plus, I don't know if the non-stick coating is dangerous to consume.
We are sorry to hear about your experience. Here are some tips for you to maintain the superior nonstick performance. Always cook in LOW TO MEDIUM HEAT. HAND WASHING RECOMMENDED though DISHWASHER SAFE. Always cool down to room temperature before hand washing. The use of high heat and a sudden temperature change, thermal shock, can cause metal fatigue, warping, deformation, nonstick deterioration, chipping, discoloration. Never use hard objects on the nonstick surface.
Highly recommend!
Just got this set and I’m in love! Heavy, very nice quality and so sleek! I ordered the Hunter green and man it’s so pretty. The only thing I wish Members Mark would do is make a matching stock pot! Like an 8qt size or even 8-10qt, big enough for few boxes of spaghetti, or soups, stews, chili. I would so LOVE a matching stock pot!
Disappointed
I will start with the positives. They are beautiful. I love the gold accent and the Navy is just beautiful. They cook beautifully. They don’t stick and are easy to clean. I thought I had found my dream cookware! Now where the disappointment comes in is that I have owned these 3 months. They are chipping and scratching like crazy. The outside around the edges and the lids seem to be chipping the worst! The inside where the cooking surface has started to chip away as well. I am the only one in my home that cooks with these as well as the only one who washes them. I use only wooden and silicone utensils when cooking. I wait until they have cooled off before putting in water. I have babied this set as I wanted them to last but even with as careful as I am, they have not lasted! I don’t know if I got a bad batch or what is happening!
Thank you for your feedback. We have some tips from the instruction manual to maintain the cookware finish. The lids are made from cast aluminum for secure fitting and even heat distribution, which is heavier than conventional glass lids. Extra caution must be used when covering lids to cookware. Although this cookware set is dishwasher safe, HAND WASHING and drying are always recommended to help maintain the original look and performance of the interior and exterior finishes. When hand washing, use liquid dishwashing detergent and a sponge, nylon pad, or dishcloth when cleaning cookware. A non-abrasive polishing cleanser may also be used for stains. Do not use oven cleaner, harsh detergents, chlorine bleach, steel wool, or other abrasive cleaning pads. Horrible
I was really hoping these would be long-lasting pans. I have had mine for almost a year and the bottom of the non-stick coating is completely gone. The handles on the pots get hot when you boil items. Overall I was not impressed especially for the price we paid.
We are sorry to learn about your experience, Kim. To restore the non-stick performance, we recommend soaking the cookware overnight in hot, soapy water and thoroughly washing the surface the next morning. Please also keep in mind: 1) metal handles may heat up when exposed to high oven temperatures or prolonged cooking, so using potholders or oven mitts is necessary when handling the lids, pots, and pans. 2) Use the set on low to medium heat consistently. 3) Ensure it cools to room temperature before washing. 4) Hand washing recommended although dishwasher safe.
Really not worth it
Had these pans less than a year and several had to be tossed out cause they would constantly burn eggs even with oil. The food would get stuck in middle from uneven heat distribution which I dont have with other pans. Save yourself the money and get another brand. Im going to try stainless steel to stay away from nonstick cause this was horrible experience.
We're sorry for your experience with the cookware set, Rebo3. To restore the non-stick performance, we recommend soaking the cookware overnight in hot, soapy water and thoroughly washing the surface the next morning. As a reminder, always use on low to medium heat and avoid sudden temperature change on the cookware itself. VERY IMPRESSIVE
I bought this cookware initially drawn by the sleek and modern design. I was taking a chance on the deliverance of durability and functionality. I bought the white set about six months ago and i can honestly say I am very impressed with the overall performance of the entire set. I cook for a family of 6 and use this ceramic cookware at least 5 days a week. The cooking overall performance is very impressive from maintaining heat balance to durability. No scratches or dullness thus far!
Pretty but ....
I really wanted to like this cookware set but like many others was displeased. Only after a month two of the pans I use often started to flake, show discoloration. Followed the manufacturer disclosures in regards to type of utensils, heat setting and washing method. Perhaps there's was a defective batch, would really have liked to keep them.
Thank you for your feedback. We will look into this and glad to hear that you took advantage of our satisfaction guarantee.
Beautiful, but not the best bet for heavy use
Finally scored a cream set a couple of months ago, and they are gorgeous! Seasoned properly, they cook well and the nonstick is easy to clean. However, after multiple times a day use on my fry pan, I will say that it now makes perfect sense to me why cream is not a common color in cookware. The bottom portion of the pan is now more of a yellow, and the ceramic is chipping and wearing in places. I never wash them while hot. I use barkeepers friend and a nonabrasive cloth, and they have never been in the dishwasher. All this to say, for light cooking, these are great! They are stunning to look at. But if you intend to use them heavily, I would either look elsewhere or get a darker color (though I suspect you will still have to contend with chipping and wear on the ceramic coating). If you proceed with the cream, just have managed expectations as to how they will look after a couple of months of wear.
Thank you for providing a review. We love that you think they are beautiful and apologize for not exceeding your expectations. We're constantly listening to our members and will take this information into consideration as we improve and develop our Member's Mark items.
Not flat enough for an induction stovetop
This cookware set is very beautiful! We are so sad to have to return it. I purchased this because I got a new induction cooktop and needed the appropriate type of pans and these were SO pretty and priced well! A month after I had my stove, I had a problem with the control panel and had the appliance tech come to service the oven. While he was there I expressed my disappointment that it took forever to boil water on a stovetop that was marketed to take mere seconds. He told me to get my iron frying pan and my member's mark frying pan and put them both on the stove at the same time to test the stove out. the iron pan boiled in 3 seconds!!!! the members mark pan took 10 minutes :( we switched burners to make sure and it was the same result. The tech turned the pots over and used a level on the bottom of the pan set and with each pot only one ring of dots was level and touching the glass top. If the pots are not flat and able to touch the stove surface then they can't work. I love these pots and really hate to return them. They would work well on a gas stove (maybe an electric?) but not an induction stovetop.
We are sorry to hear your experience, PJ. Iron cookware naturally heats faster on an induction cooktop compared to aluminum cookware. In fact, aluminum material is not compatible with induction cooktops. To enable the induction function, we add an magnetic stainless steel base on our modern set through impact bonding technique. Induction cooktops heat the aluminum cookware through electromagnetic induction, and it doesn’t require the cookware to make perfectly even contact with the surface. A slightly concave bottom of the cookware is specially designed to ensure stability on the induction cooktop after heating. We appreciate your review, as it provides an opportunity for us to identify areas that require attention and make continual improvements. Durability is Lacking
These pans are great for day to day use, especially at that price point. We did experience the skillets losing their non-stick properties after about 4 months. These skillets were used daily, and otherwise have held up very well. Sam’s warranty was contacted and they replaced the skillets with no issue.
To restore the non-stick performance, we recommend soaking the cookware overnight in hot, soapy water and thoroughly washing the surface the next morning. As a reminder: 1) Use it on low to medium heat consistently. 2) Ensure it cools to room temperature before washing. 3) Hand washing recommended although dishwasher safe.
