I'm an amateur when it comes to art supplies. I had no idea how to determine what might be good or not. I bought a set of Staedtler colored pencils because I thought that was a name that denoted quality. The pencils worked but required a lot of pressure and multiple applications to give a color that was decent. I bought these Prismacolor soft core pencils hoping that they would be easier to use. The difference is astonishing. With only one application and minimal pressure, it's easy to achieve a much more vibrant color. I only wish Sam's had a similar deal on the 150 pencil set!

Don't judge me, but I have joined the adult coloring craze! Such a fine way to relax, or get through a long meeting. I tried several different pencils and pens, but the Prismacolor are the perfect combination of soft and precise. Great colors! So I got sets for my daughters and my mom. Christmas is DONE!

These have always been a great choice for artwork. The price is much better at Sam's than in other places I've looked, but I do wish the also carried the larger sets.

Bought these for my granddaughters and they were a big hit. They love all the colors and keep busy with art projects.

Colors are vivid and plenty different colors

My 12 yr old grandson loves these pencils. He has both these and the regular Crayola brand. He prefers these Prismacolor Premier. He says they just "color better". I think it's because they are softer and fill in better.

Very accurate colors that are bold. Easy to color with since the lead is softer.
