You gradually step down in amount over the course of time.  I think as with any bad habit the first couple of weeks are the hardest. It has a pleasant mint taste making it super easy to take. I really dislike the taste of cough syrup and would only recommend the mint flavors to anyone with the same disposition toward cough syrup as me.

The flavor is slightly sweet. I didn't care for how quickly they dissolved in my mouth, so I didn't feel like they satisfied my need to smoke.

They help fight your cravings. I was able to withhold from smoking because of this product. It kept my cravings down a lot more than I had anticipated they would. They taste isn’t to mellow or to strong.
