Dinty moore horrible beef stew

This is not anything i would ever buy again. The meat? Is a ground something that's supposed to look like beef but .....the flavor is the same no matter what you are eating, carrots, potatoes gravy taste all the same. This is more like dog food than food for people. Campbell's chunky beef soups are way better. Not so sure why they call it chunks of beef. Also it is very mushy. If you are used to homemade beef stew you will be very disappointed in this. I'm taking it back.

Love Dinty Moore Beef Stew

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I remember having Dinty Moore Beef Stew as a kid (I'm 70). It was warming and tasty then, and even better now. We had sausage, biscuits, and gravy for dinner last night, so I decided to warm the leftover biscuits, and cover them with Dinty Moore Beef Stew.. Really delicious. It reminded me of my Mother's and Grandmother's southern cooking. Dinty Moore Beef Stew is great on it's own (I've been eating it for years), but it's also a great ingredient for a larger meal.

I will be buying more of Dinty Moore Beef Stew this winter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beef stew did not taste like it came out of a can. I now buy at least one every two weeks and will probably buy more, now that winter is coming. Easy to prepare, excess stored and reheated well. Thickness, color, saltiness and taste of sauce was good. The amount of vegetables and amount of meat was well proportioned. Tasted home made.

Familiar flavors make this hearty stew a comforting lunch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a hearty lunch for me. I enjoyed the thick chunks and distinctive flavors. I have eaten this before, and I always enjoy the beef stew. The gravy was tasty too. I could use a tiny bit less salt, but that is just my preference.

Very Good Beef Stew from a can, but serve it with biscuits!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Surprisingly good taste from a can, and over 10 Grams of Protein too! There were only 5 small chunks of meat, in the two serving can, so I would suggest dividing it accordingly. Also, I would make some biscuits to go along with it, if you want it to come closer to a meal, but in a pinch, with no time to prepare a meal, this will be good to have on the shelf!

Rethinking buying this again

We hadn't bought this in years but decided to try it again. The first few cans were great but the one I opened last night literally had 2 pieces of beef in it. I kept stirring it as it cooked and looking for more but the two pieces were it. The taste is fine but I wouldn't call it "beef" stew.

Not bad

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Big chunks of vegetables (mostly carrots and potatoes) and nice stew-y flavor. The meat was ground beef which isn't bad but isn't what I expect when I think of beef stew. It was well seasoned, but a little heavy on the salt which seems to be the norm for canned products. Overall, it was good for a quick meal, but not something I would buy very often.

What happened?

I grew up eating this stew and fed it to my daughter while she was little as well. Just opened a can for the first time in a long time and the meat is all weird now. Small pieces that fall apart when you chew. The vegetables are so small. I remember big pieces of meat. It was so good! doesn't have the same taste/flavor. Why would you guys change something that was already good to begin with? I don't understand why companies do this. It seems to happen a lot. I don't know if it's a cost thing or what, but while you may be saving a little by making a cheaper product...you're likely losing more money from losing customers. Please bring back the old recipe. :(

Hearty and beefy perfect over steam rice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super east the heat up, and just the right size for a meal for one person. I like the fact that there is no preservatives and the beef stew is thick and hearty. It's a bit on the salty side, which makes it perfect to pour over rice.

I would buy this product again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought this tasted good. The salt level was just right. The only thing I didn't care for so much were the large amount of potatoes, but this is a personal preference. The meat was tender, and there was more than enough gravy for rice or noodles.
