Quick meal, great tasting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has been a long time since I've made homemade stew (high price of stew meat) but I don't think that I have ever tried canned beef stew before. I enjoyed the taste of Dinty Moore Beef Stew! It was seasoned well. I usually like to add my own seasonings/herbs to prepared or canned foods but I really didn't need to add any to this beef stew. My husband also liked the taste of this but said it needed more meat in it. Next time I would probably use two cans for us and add some mushrooms too. However this beef stew was good on its own though there were carrots in it which I don't really like. The carrots weren't overwhelming so that wasn't a big problem for me. I would definitely recommend Dinty Moore Beef Stew to anyone looking for a quick good tasting meal.

Yes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was delicious. The quality of this product was outstanding. It was much better than any product similar to this I have tried. The ingredients were outstanding. The gravy with this was just right. It didn't have any unexpected ingredients; my husband even had some and liked it; especially since it didn't have anything "green" or "onions" which he detests! I will definitely buy this as a healthy, nourishing quick fix for lunch or dinner.

Good Stew!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked it very much. When I opened the can, I noticed the stew wasn't greasy. There were actual pieces of meat in there. And the vegetable portions were very good. I was able to eat twice from the can. Felt full with a serving size. I liked it and recommended it to others.

Delicious and will buy regularly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I sampled a little before heating the stew and was very pleased by the flavor. The stew had lots of meat and carrots and some potato and was nearly as good as home made. I shall certainly buy this regularly, it is delicious and satisfying.

I would buy again.....and again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Growing up I remember when my mom at times just didn't want to slave over preparing a meal and we were introduced to Dinty Moore Beef Stew! It was great then, and it's just as great today! You can warm it up quickly, and it hits the spot - great mix of meat an veggies, and absolutely delicious! I wasn't aware that it came as a Sample Box with Chicken & Dumplings, but that is one tasty, winning combination! Whether you're short on time to cook a meal or just want something different that really satisfies, Dinty Moore Beef Stew is a sure thing!

Will be a staple in my pantry from now on!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have not tried Dinty Moore in about 20yrs so I was very excited to try DINTY MOORE HEARTY MEALS Beef Stew. First thing I did was look at the ingredients..there are no preservatives which I was very pleased with..can has an easy pop top so no fumbling with a can opener so even a great item to keep in stock for weather emergency or camping trip. I am also one that is always on the go and a quick no mess meal gets points. I scooped my serving into my bowl and I noticed nice chunks of beef..sliced carrot and potato and the gravy was nice and thick..I microwaved for 1 minute & half (time may vary) and it was piping hot..The stew was savory just like my Grandma's used to make.. the carrots and potato had bite not mushy. I have tried other beef stews but DINTY MOORE HEARTY MEALS Beef Stew has won me over. Also on the back of can is easy to read cooking instructions and a recipe. I highly recommend this product and I received a free sample in exchange for my honest opinion.

Hearty, beefy stew

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first time trying Dinty Moore's beef stew. I thought it was good. It had good flavor and was chock full of ingredients. The beef was tender and the other ingredients paired well. The only downside, as is with most canned soups, is the sodium content. I believe it's around 40% of your recommended daily value.

No, I will not be purchasing this on my weakly grocery list.

I grew up on dinty moore stu. My grandmammy used to buy a bunch of cans and put them in the crock pot and pretend it was her own recipee. Although we knew her "secret" we never let on that we did. I continued the tradition with my 7 kids and have noticed that there aren't those big beef chunks in it any more. Where's the beef? Is it that weird fake meat stuff now? Can you please bring back the chunks of real meat so I can continue this tradition with my kids? Thank you!

Pretty good beef stew that's quick and easy to prepare.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall a pretty good canned beef stew. The stew is hearty and not watered down like many competitors. I enjoyed the carrots and especially the potatoes that had a great texture. The beef chunks were ok, but could use more flavor and maybe a better texture. I would keep these in the cupboard for emergency meals or when you just don't have the time to whip something up. The package is compact and the stew is easy to prepare.

Alert: Great brand gone bad.

This former staple brand has declined in popularity for good reason: it has declined in taste and quality. Just look into a newly opened can of Dinty Moore Beef Stew and you'll see a layer of white fat. My advice: pick it out before heating it up. There doesn't appear to be much broth, but it forms as you cook it. The broth is salty. The mixture is mostly firm and flavorful potato chunks. The few carrot rounds are mushy and bland. Inexcusably, Dinty Moore beef was skimpy chunks of unsavory meat akin to cheap Salisbury steak frozen dinners. Bottom line: you're paying high dollar for potatoes and gravy.
