My parents are big doomsday believers and are trying their hardest to shape me into one. They requested that I went out and got a few cans of these, and now that we're cracking into them after a good 8 months because we're not moving. The can said "Best by october, 2018" but it tastes absolutely awful! It tastes as if someone poured a pint of salt into it and it has a real grainy texture. I also agree with most of the people on here, raise the price, bring the real meat back!

I thought the flavor was good the pieces of meat and potato were good. It's very filling. It's great for work or camping. I would recommend this product to anyone who likes hearty stews.

This stew had very good flavor, the meat was tender, and the carrots and potatoes completed the stew perfectly. What I didn't like about it is there is a very high sodium content. While I know that most foods taste better when salt is added this product contains almost half of the recommended daily allowance which is very high. Doesn't leave a lot of room for the other two meals or any snacks. Overall I would eat this again but would only purchase once in awhile.

The gravy isn't salty, which I appreciate. The can was a tad bit difficult to open as I keep my finger nails short. I enjoyed this product and I'd buy it on occasion.

The gravy is good and thick, very flavorful, the potatoes and carrots are firm and not grainy in the least and the beef is good as well, not fatty. All in all it's a good lunch or dinner for that matter.

It was great then, and it's just as great today! You can warm it up quickly, and it hits the spot - great mix of meat an veggies, and absolutely delicious! I wasn't aware that it came as a Sample Box with Chicken & Dumplings, but that is one tasty, winning combination! Whether you're short on time to cook a meal or just want something different that really satisfies, Dinty Moore Beef Stew is a sure thing!

One of the things that impressed me was that I could still taste the individual flavors. Sometimes with canned food all the flavors meld into a single not so good flavor- this was NOT like that at all!
