We use about one 40 lb bags every month for the brine tank of our whole-house water purification system and we find the Morton brand seems to be a higher quality than other brands. Do yourself a favor and always buy these bags in even numbers, because they are MUCH easier to carry two at a time (one in each hand) as the weight is evenly distributed.

Makes a noticeable difference when I use this salt vs no salt or salt from other brands. It comes in a sturdy plastic bags with carry handles on both sides which I appreciate because it's heavy and lugging it around is easier that way. It dissolves as it should in the softener and doesn't leave any residue.

This product was very vibrant. The bag was about 40lbs. I had to carry one in each hand to walk straight, otherwise the one bag I was carrying kept hitting my leg because it made me walk lopsided. And the flavor was very salty... Really made my mouth water. Pretty sure it made my cholesterol go up. Do not recommend chewing, cuz it chipped my tooth....

Salt is great for my Rainsoft water softener. Problem is that on numerous occasions, Fed Ex has lost the shipment, causing me to purchase elsewhere

This is the only stuff I use in my water softener and also what was recommended to me by a professional.

This time one of the bags looked like it had gotten wet and had some weird clumping going on. Usually it fine.

Not the most exciting thing to review, but it's one of those products every home with a water softener needs. It pours easily, dissolves well and keeps our water feeling soft. We will continue to purchase.

This purchase is required for use in our home's water softener. Typically, Walmart offers the lowest price.

Crystals are the ONLY way to go with new water softeners and these work great and are a good price here at Walmart (especially when Sam's Club doesn't carry the crystals only the pellets - and you CANNOT add those pellets to a new system!!)

I greatly appreciate that I can pull up to Walmart pickup area and someone will load these bags of salt into my car. It's very helpful and convenient.
